Are any coaches going to be at their current clubs next year or have supporters on their side

If we put all the rumours ,gossip together a lot of coaches will move on or blunder real or perceived pressure from press or their own supporters

Worsfold gone marital issues ,poor season

Lyon gone wife not happy in Perth

Voss not successful to be sacked (maybe safe now)

Hird gone due to drug scandal

Neeld Gonski

G w s sheedy leaving

Scott at north they are bleating due to multiple close losses (I think contract extension signed recently so is likely safe )

Carlton Malthouse not the messiah as expected

Collingwood Buckley missing top4 ,who knows maybe the 8 ,tough draw ahead

williams, eade, craig of roos, coach short list complete

Not saying any of the above will go to Melbourne, just talking about how fickle supporters are and the fragility of being an AFL coach.

You've forgotten Watters, looks like getting an extension but a lot of supporters want him gone, Macca at the dogs is obviously no good. Both these clubs have stella lists so it must be the coach.

If Mick doesn't make the 8 then he's gone and Clarko is finished if he can't win a flag this year. Bucks and Eddie will be on the scrap heap if Collingwood can't find a tagger.

Dimmer looks safe but if anything goes wrong the rumour is Williams is ready to step in. Scott at Geelong can't afford to many more unloseable loses. Adelaide don't trust Vic's, wait a minute Sando is an SA boy...maybe spent to much time in Victoria..move him along. Hinkley, gone.

Roos is taking over at GC, great list good to add another premiership to the legacy by by Guy.

Who does that leave us with?

The Horse, well he did win the last flag but times up if he can't come up with the goodes this year.

There is your title and your opening post.

Please don't confuse me on a wednesday morning.

I feel a little stupid for even posting this, but here goes;

A friend of mine was at the pub a week ago and bumped into Peter Matera and David Hart. Being an Eagles fan he asked them casually about Woosha & whether they had spoken to him recently about continuing at West Coast etc. Apparenlty David Hart said he had spoken to him recently and was no chance to coach West Coast next year becasue he will be coaching the Dees (Suggesting that its a recently done deal)?

[/end Nudge/Chilli boy rumour]

hope your wrong

the man has never made a move to change a game in his life

just picks his best 22 and leaves it alone,

Did your mate think he was being for real?

Lyon - sounds like complete crud he isn't going anywhere

B. Scott - As noted has a contract

Bucks - Eddie wouldn't fire him if they hadn't won a game, reasonable pies supporters know where they are at

Malthouse - Again most reasonable Carlton supporters know he was hard up this season

Sheedy was pre-arranged and he actually got an extra year

Hird - still has the supporters on his side

So really it's Neeld and Worsfold and so far every indication from West Coast has been is they won't push him out. Not too bad in a highly strung competition. Certainly doing better than the NFL or major soccer leagues.

Did your mate think he was being for real?

Yep

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
