You Know What's Scary?

I'll tell you what's scary (and apologies for being off topic). G. Ablett has 27 possessions against Collingwood and it's only half time.

How are we going to stop him at the Gabba in a few weeks time?

What's scary: thinking we were on the rebound after defeating reigning premier, Essendon mid-1966.

Winner.

What's scary? The last year we played in a grand final, the following movies were released: Gladiator, Scary Movie (1) and mission impossible.

Not to mention the classic, Chopper.

Love gladiator, awesome movie!!

Remember it well. We had lost the first six games and our golden era was behind us.

Barrie Vagg kicked 5 goals and first gamer Ken Jungwirth got 3.

Unfortunately, we were badly hit by injury that year. We had already lost boom recruit Ross Dillon to a season ending knee injury and we lost a few more during the game against the Bombers.

We didn't win too many more games that year.

Confident he will not get a touch at the Gabba.

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
