What the hell was that last minute. 3 goals with barely a whimper.

Frawley is a selfish [censored]. Only cares about his own man, had a perfect view from my seat of him letting Smith run into an open goal, just so he could stop Franklin. Apparently commentators talked about it too. Good

Just got dropped in interview that lingy has been working with Trenners over the week

Hasn't helped to half time.

A thrashing is more accurately measured by how many times our score they kicked, rather than the actual point spread.

186 Geelong kicked 4.95 times our score.

148, Essendon kicked 5.11 times our score.

1/2 time today Hawthorn is 6.3 times our score

#operationGETchoco

if i had twitter id start that campaign

Although i have a feeling he may already be signed and sealed to the MFC

If Paul Roos or Bomber Thompson were coaching us today it wouldn't be any different!

The most basic stupid mistakes made by Bail,Jordie,RODAN,Joel Mac,Fitzy are because they are NOT AFL standard. Not coach related just dumb decision makers executed with sub standard SKILL.Those 5 should not be playing AFL football.

SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watts is on the verge of a breakout i reckon

Do you? He lacks any aggression whatsoever. It is becoming a waste of a great body and sublime skills.

Just to stick to the things that don't make me want to top myself:

We've had 178 disposals in a half. Much better than the last few weeks.

We're now leading clearances 20-19, and leading tackles 37-23.

That's about it really. 34 inside 50s to 19, conceding 224 disposals in a half (100+ that quarter) - the usual MFC problems.

It sounds like Neeld put numbers behind the ball. Again. I hate this move. He then uses it to defend the team afterwards ('look, we had to put numbers behind the ball early and we were under the pump all day'). Bailey used to do it too. It never, ever works. All it does is free up a dangerous opposition player to play loose and do what they want. It's an awful strategy. One of the reasons why Neeld isn't good enough.

Absolutely brilliant example of Neelds pathetic mindset.

one flaw in your argument - Roos or Thompson wouldnt give games to those spuds

Is Neeld out there? Is he there to tell idiots like Fitzpatrick and McKenzie what to do? No, he's not. He can tell them all the right things during the week, but he can't replicate gameday no matter what he does, and players who are not natural footballers like Fitzpatrick and McKenzie, who cannot make the transition to the speed, pressure and intensity of AFL football, are prone to making bad decisions.

Decision-making is not as easily coached as tackling, clearance work, positioning, or even ball-skills. It's innate, and our players wholly lack it. It's up to them to learn from their mistakes and get better.

Neeld has a raft of other issues he can be responsible for.

Yes, he picked Rodan, who people claim cost us nothing. Well the poor bugger is trying but he has cost us plenty today

He was working with him last year too. Perhaps time Trenners sacked him.

Might be time Neeld played him in the mids, he was doing ok earlier...then he gets put back to the forward line.

If Neeld would just leave him in the forward line, and forget all that "loose man in the back line" nonsense, he would be a star.

Dumb post. All the commentators said was Frawley "didn't make a decision". He was left two defend two goal kickers, where was Smith's man?

Looks like Dawes is presenting well. 8 marks and 12 disposals. Never mind his kicking...

Yes but it's very depressing that our star recruit is so bad in kicking for goal. Tho absolutely thrashed we should be 3 goals something

Amen. Absolute crap.

Even the ball hates us the way it's bouncing!

He was 45 out on an angle. He wasn't the easiest shot but he should get those. Maybe I'm harsh to compare him to Clark, but for $500k a season, you'd want to be able to kick.

Sorry but that is his primary job.

Aside from one miss he has had a blinder in the first half as our only forward. I am obviously watching a different game.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
