Not much to write home about based on the first half.

Fitzpatrick and Dawes are solid marks up front, Sellar and Davis good down back, but the latter is a shockingly poor kick. Clisby okay running off half back.

Blease is too quick for VFL players but has no right side, and Davey is too good for this level.

Big concern is Toumpas. Has no intensity whatsoever. Big bum and short stocky legs, and certainly doesn't have much pace from what I've seen today.

What? But others in this thread have said that his kicking is a lot better?

14 shots to 7 against Port, KC? Are they missing sitters or is it the wind?

They're blazing away a bit but have Port's measure although the Borough seem a bit undermanned. Shane Valenti usually kills Casey but he's not out there today.

Can't agree with the above assessment of Jimmy Toumpas. Along with Magner, who's probably BOG here, Toumpas is dominating.

There's also a bloke over at Port Adelaide called Hartlett who probably fitted the above description of Jimmy T but is now considered to be moving towards elite midfielder status.

Thanks KC, I trust your judgment.

I think most are just scared after the Morton and Gysberts fall out. At least give him a year before you begin to jump ships - much less than many gave Morton or Watts.

Crazy day here with ABC going temporarily off the air and two undefeated AFL teams struggling. Could be a good omen for the Dees tomorrow.

... oops, Bombers coming back just as those peptides start sinking in (I know, I'm scurrilous).

God will you give the kid a break for god sakes it's his second (or third) VFL game and he has fifteen touches to half time. He's not a 100 game player being demoted and not getting a kick. Some people just need to relax.

Hartlett has never been as timid as Toumpas. It was injuries that held him back, not intensity.

In saying that some great defensive work from Toumpas just now on the half back flank, resulting in a forward movement that saw a goal kicked by Bonaddio.

Why would you want GWS to win? It would only make us look more pathetic. If there are two teams that we should hate most it is GWS and GC for they weakened the drafts when we have been near the bottom and they are the teams that will destroy any chances of us winning a flag in 10 years.

Do you think he's done enough to earn a recall for Gold Coast at the G next week?

Add that to the fact that Coburg are wearing Essendon jumpers and Essendon are wearing their own clash jumper...

Leading Possessions Magner 19 Toumpas Davis Sellar 15

Sellar! We're getting to have half a dozen of these guys. Too good (or just very good) at VFL level, but not able to bring it to the big league.

Good to see Toumpas getting his mojo working. Great for his confidence.

Magner shoe-in for the Liston, even if he gets promoted mid-year. Another 3-vote game?

Retract your comments about Blease because you sound like a fool. He is a freak on both sides of his body. His left is as good as his right.

Blease laying some great tackles, really pleasing to see.

It is good to see because this time last week he looked exhausted.

Posted

Why is running around to try to get on his left all the time then?

He just laid a brilliant run down tackle.

D Rod with a goal, 63-41 now.

Fitzpatrick has a real presence as a forward.

I don't know but he's a natural right footer.

Has the tide just turned Jack? :)

Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
