GAME DAY - ROUND 4

Featured Replies

The gap between Mebourne and the top sides is bigger than the gap between AFL and VFL.

Id put money on it that a number of VFL teams would walk all over the MFC

Scully still can't kick, I don't really think he's pulling our pants down.

He kicked a goal when Jones went down with a sore shoulder.

Jack Viney will end up 3 times a better player than Scully.

Tom Scully has no poise, he can rack em up as much as he wants, but they go no-where.

I could rack em up against this Melbourne outfit, means very little.

I've been watching Scully closely and for all his limitations he runs, and runs hard.

Has Viney touched the ball?

We are beyond a joke ATM.... How is it we draft players who are "elite" yet they cannot kick, mark or handball. Not prepared to run and spread and have no trust in each other.... F*****************K

Kicking at 83% efficiency at the moment.

We're so pourly coached it is embarrassing!, just leave now Neeld, we beAt this team by 60 points last year and you have brought in your supposedly better players! Pathetic

Something Melbourne DOES NOT DO.

Just when you think it can't get worse, they put on their party hats and yell "surprise".

Mark Neeld needs to take himself out of this job. He has killed our players' natural instincts, made us look dumb and slow, plays an untenable game plan and has made me ashamed of this team.

Something. Has. To. Give.

There is a definite smell of death here at the G.

No matter what happens today Royal has to go. He can't even stop a bunch of 19 year olds.

The club doesn't need stability if the only thing stable is that we are constantly crap.

Not his responsibility to carry us. Where are our captains today?!

I feel sick

Too blinkin' right Alf, me too. Strike me roan they're a useless bloody mob.

Might have to knock the top off one or three.

The players are dumb and slow Jaded - thats not Neelds fault

& just beat them by 15 points Rd 21 2012

Highest scoring quarter in GWS history

Rawlings is doing a fanstastic job!

Its better to lose the game and Neeld can be rightfully sacked

Why prolong the inevitable?

Worst coach in the history of the game

It's a pretty big coincidence that every player that comes through Melbourne seems to be dumb and slow.

The same players have managed to smash GWS pretty much every time before though. Minus the players Neeld has brought in of course.

Peter Rhode says hello

Not his responsibility to carry us. Where are our captains today?!

Trengove had 9 disposals and 7 tackles

Grimes had 13

THE CAPTAINS ARE NOT THE PROBLEM

My God, Jack Watts frustrates the hell out of me.

It really looks like he'd rather be playing basketball at the moment. There is no intensity from him at all.

jeez we are soo good at playing opposition players in to form re Scully..

We are a joke of the highest order..

What's your point stuie? Can't win the game if you can't win the ball - how is that Neelds fault?

GWS win the ball and run - MFC need to press - intesity dropped in the 2nd atr and GWS out run us - how is that Neelds fault?? I suppose he told to them to take 1 hand marks and fall over and not put on pressure?

Played at half back the last 10 minutes or so according to Triple M. I'm not at the ground unfortunately, so happy to be corrected.

Anyways, why have Jamar and Gawn and then play our best forward in the ruck?!

Jamar was resting forward, Gawn was off the ground. Clark often has a run in the ruck, especially later in the quarters. He was across half back because that's where the ball was.

It's a pretty big coincidence that every player that comes through Melbourne seems to be dumb and slow.

Sad isn't it

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
