McLardy, Schwab and Co must go

Agree. Not fighting the tanking charges and allowing Wilson to run a smear campaign unchallenged was the last straw for me.

These men have no balls and no business running an AFL footy club. Unless they are removed or resign we will remain anchored to the foot of the table and eventually the club will die.

Problem is I doubt they will do the honourable thing and resign. Too much $$$ in it for them.

Another poll RR?

I wish i could argue against all that Muvver. I really do.

But it's all there.

Jimmy Stynes would be appalled at all this.

So who do we pursue? Who can save this sick once proud INSTITUTION??

Not sure. But definitely not Garry Lyon.

Being a board member is an unpaid position so I don't know how it can be said there's too much money in it for them. One thing I will say is that if anyone has any grievances within the club they should all be allowed to say their piece in an open & accountable forum. I think the club should have a lock in so all parties can air whatever grievances they hold & make all people accountable. I keep hearing how certain people are holding grudges etc & where there is smoke there is fire. All opinions & information should be left in that room. All FD staff & the board should be present as well as players. This club has hit rock bottom after yesterday & they need to sort whatever it is that is holding this club back. Strong leadership needs to be shown & all involved have to buy in. No more excuses from the players, coaches or admin. They are only in the positions they hold because we put them there & they need to fix whatever it is that stinks about the on field performances now.

Sacking admin etc is only going to divide & split the club further. It is not what Jim Stynes would want after working so hard to mend this club. I believe McClardy does some work with reach, maybe he needs to do some similar work with the MFC. I realise this post may seem emotive to some but I honestly think the club needs to move forward together as a united entity & work needs to be done to build a culture where all members of the club actually work for each other & believe in each other.

I agree - some will say these guys aren't the ones out on the paddock but the fish rots at the head and these guys must be held accountable for the pathetic and deplorable state this club finds itself in. Schwab is a used car salesmen who may be able to sell ice to eskimo's but has no substance beneath the surface. Has done nothing for this club since returning and never should have been welcomed back after our last experience with him.

Don't anyone dare come in here say something along the lines of, 'I didn't know Cameron Schwab was playing on a wing', or 'Oh, is Don McLardy the midfield coach'.

The board is never responsible for a single loss in isolation, but they are responsible for years and years of mediocrity, and then just when things couldn't get any worse, yesterday happened, the single worst display I have seen in my time supporting my club. And I am including the likes of 186 (the Geelong side of a few years back would have knocked up a double ton plus win yesterday).

The board & admin seem to be untouchable. The president goes missing and says or does nothing to unite the club. Schwab has always been a problem, but he is untouchable. The club needs to take action and get things right from the very top down. Less involvement from Garry Lyon would be a good start

Sacking admin etc is only going to divide & split the club further.

We're past that point Bonkers. The club is haemorrhaging and will soon be in a coma on life support.

Act now Melbourne or die.

There has to be something wrong with this club. Something has to be holding these players back. I saw it front row for 4 quarters at 186. I stayed the whole game perplexed at how the players did not want to play. It was so obvious. I have not seen the players change there ways. I don't know what it is but it is there. It was here before Neeld and it is still here. Is it the CEO? I don't know. Can someone explain how Schwabb can infect the players? It could be Royal. Good god he needs to go. Worst midfield I have ever seen. He has to go NOW! I read on O'logy that the board is meeting today. I hope the infection is removed.

I seriously fail to comprehend how Royal still has a job. It is baffling, he should have been given the arse at the end of 2011. One of the best defences in 2010 under Wellman turned to absolute shite under his watch and then he is moved sideways to the midfield where he brings absolutely nothing. Wellman was a great coach for us we never should have let him walk on his contract, one of the key reasons for Frawleys 2010 AA form and subsequent decline.

Agree 'Muvver', in fact you beat me to the post.

This club is going nowhere and in fact I don't think we can judge Neeld until the millstone is taken from around his neck. Cameron Schwab must go, I know all the apologists will say he doesn't get a kick, he's turning a profit blah, blah blah.

We who want to see him gone will be accused of having a political agenda etc. Well I don't know any current or past board members, wouldn't know 'em if I fell over 'em, but know a disaster when I see it.

The Geelong game was a disgrace and things have only gone downhill from there. As for the common wisdom at the time of not causing instability at the club. It's all we've had since.

I don't know what it is but he is a divisive figure and we can't afford to sit on our hands and let this ruin the club. He may well be a victim but we can't afford to take the high ground on this, he brings way to much heat on the club and the ultimate performance indicator, games won is well in the negative.

Mike Sheahan was spot on last year but most chose not to listen, we need to go to the AFL and find the best young administrator in the game. I would like to get Cook but maybe he is past looking to a new challenge and happy to sit at Geelong. I won't judge Neeld until the fishes head is gone.

I lost a lot of faith in this board when they rolled over to the AFL's charges.

I mean it was this board who implemented the strategy so to not fight it out was very hollow to me.

This was Jimmy's Board, but Jimmy is no longer here so where do we go?

I have no trust in the board now sadly because i don't believe the statements they issue?

When have they been correct?

It's not personal, Don is a good man, but i think he is out of his depth running our troubled MFC.

We need an absolute ROCK to run this place

Don is a ROLL.

We should be walking into Court right now....FIGHTING.

What we got was yesterday.

Ox mentioned yesterday that Royal wasn't implementing Neelds game plan. I don't know how he keeps his job if this is true?

The club only survives throught the charity and generostiy of supporters. The club is incapable of turning an honest profit and even less so now.

Supporters will continue to donate but for how long?

Paing out these guys just be rid of them will be money well spent even if we go into hock for it.

Ox mentioned yesterday that Royal wasn't implementing Neelds game plan. I don't know how he keeps his job if this is true?

I didn't hear the context of that comment. Was he saying it as if he was in the know and was confident about that? or just shooting from the hip willy nilly like most of us are on here?

Correct that sackings cost money. Neeld's contract for instance would have two years to run. So just even Neeld getting the arse would mean that coupled with the tanking fine, you are already down around a million for the year and we are barely even out of the blocks. Obviously all these things would need to weighed up, money alone is no reason to keep people at the club when it is clear they need to go.

You think it would be a deliberate move?

Neeld has not got them to play with any spirit or boldness.

His future is at stake here BTW, the board will see their work under scrutiny at the end of the year with decisions that are made but don't tell me that McLardy getting THAT tanking verdict is the reason we were beaten by PA in a lifeless display.

That is just crap. A gleeful exercise in using this awful start to the season for one's own ends.

Neeld has been given all he needs to get more than he got on Sunday.

2013 is a defining year for a number of players and the head coach - the defining moment for the board will be if they pull the trigger, when they pull it, and who they go to.

There are no board elections (and no-one who wants to replace them) until the end of 2013.

No... but I am putting the blame squarely on the board for not sacking the CEO after the Geelong game and for the subsequent poor performances.

You know what my answer will be.

If it were up to me - we would have burnt all and sundry after that day at Mordor, but we are where we are and there is no group waiting in the wings - who is going to take over?

The board is here to stay until they are challenged.

The CEO has a contract.

The coach has had a year and everything that coaches past have not had.

He is the one under the pump here. Him and about 15 players.

There are threads talking about yesterday being an Extinction Level Event and that is just crap. But it will be given more credence if we react the way you would like them to react.

I say this to a few on here - get a group together and you have 8 months to organise yourself.

We cannot afford mid-season spills and massive payouts of CEO's.

It would be ruining us trying to save us.

The End of 2013 is the big time for the board.

2013 is the big time for Neeld.

I have never heard such crap.....Lets just sack everyone and be done with it.....Then we can go on holidays for the winter

All the posters calling for heads is just as pathetic as the performance of our players.....I have been a member of this club for 50 years...Good and bad and I will continue to support them till my dying day...

If you don't support the club....then p!ss off

2013 is a defining year for a number of players and the head coach - the defining moment for the board will be if they pull the trigger, when they pull it, and who they go to.

If Neeld fails the board/CEO/President will roll as well. He is their appointment and they will live and die by it.
