mjt 640 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 i had goat soup in the philippines last year. Interesting taste it was! Goat taste like chicken, its delicious.
Sir Why You Little 37,450 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Not sure of your meaning.Anyway let's revisit this - http://www.smh.com.au/afl/afl-news/date-with-disaster-20120504-1y4ky.html?skin=text-only Here is an earlier example of the depth of information CW has at her finger tips. This could only come from within the club. One sentence I find very telling - "On Friday, Schwab was told his position was no longer secure and that Stynes and some board members were looking at ending his tenure at the end of the season. The contract deadline was 48 hours away. Key Melbourne coterie supporters believed by Friday night that Schwab was finished. So did some Melbourne footballers." This tells me all I need to know. and i would lay down a few $100 to say that those people all now work somewhere else.
daisycutter 30,004 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 and i would lay down a few $100 to say that those people all now work somewhere else. but "Key Melbourne coterie supporters" aren't employed by the club wyl
Dee Fan 3,247 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 but "Key Melbourne coterie supporters" aren't employed by the club wyl That's right they only have the power to financially support the club, or not.
Sir Why You Little 37,450 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 but "Key Melbourne coterie supporters" aren't employed by the club wyl No they are not. But the players were, accepting a good wage in the the process. This is the exact reason 186 needs to be openly discussed. All remnants of it must be cleared out. I do not believe this has been done yet.
nutbean 8,838 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Jeez, it means something completely different when I say I'm going to the vault. with my Jewish heritage i only have one thing to say - "oy ge-vault"

beelzebub 23,392 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 My thoughts exactly DC , theyre effectively a Trojan horse. All the more reason to id them.

If you are financial that is a right. But anybody pulling a wage who is involved in white anting can be terminated or retired.
Sir Why You Little 37,450 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Goat taste like chicken, its delicious. what i had was like a cross between lamb and chicken. I liked it. What i didn't like was saying hello to the same goat at breakfast hours before!!!But that's Asia.

This tells me all I need to know. this section of Wilsons article is very interesting on many levels. Clearly she had & probably still has multiple sources inside the club who are willing to openly speak. But her information was ultimately wrong. I too was amazed at the time that CS survived 186, but he did and is still there. So how much REAL information do these leaks have? And have they dried up quickly enabling Wilson to lay low?
Vipercrunch 2,863 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Well call me 'silly', Billy, ouch, but what is it you & yours hide?are you looking to challenge, or is it a part of the ruse of the clubs defense? Because your 'not elaborating' just confuses the whole picture. * I'll ask again a simple question, have you had any discussion with any of the MFC's defense team, about the AFL's 800 page document, & their strategies to fight it? I haven't read all of the 90 pages of this thread, but surely it's a long bow to suggest someones comments here are part of a ruse of the clubs defense? All this talk about activity in Demonland somehow being part of some board level power struggle or trying to out people from the club seems to me as ludicrous. Can't wait for the footy to start....
Rod Grinter Riot Squad 5,680 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 I eat goat at least once a week. Tastes like chicken?? Yeah.... Right....
Longsufferingnomore 1,691 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Rereading CW's article it amazes me that she had so much information down to timing of conversations. I agree it looks as if the leakee/s could be from within the coterie. . I wonder if Guy Jalland could be a target as he was quoted as being "an influential Schwab" supporter. Is McLardy a target because he "organised" Jimmy's becoming President. The more I think about 186 and the tanking issue there is a link. Once the link is identified the person/group who has conducted this vile attack on the Club will also be identified. The last paragraph of today's Age article "they (MFC Legal Team) are determining whether to submit their full case or to hold back key points" is disturbing. Why would you leak such information to the opposition if only to dis-stabilize and this case the MFC' s Legal team.
daisycutter 30,004 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 I eat goat at least once a week.Tastes like chicken?? Yeah.... Right.... tastes like meat to me

sue 9,277 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 The last paragraph of today's Age article "they (MFC Legal Team) are determining whether to submit their full case or to hold back key points" is disturbing. Why would you leak such information to the opposition if only to dis-stabilize and this case the MFC' s Legal team. It may not be a leak. Could it be that journos are just looking for daily copy and so thinking 'what would MFC reasonably do' and constructing a story? After all, unless you are 100% certain you'll shoot down the accusations if you played all your cards initially, you may want to keep some things up your sleeve. Or alternatively, leak the impression you have something that will be dropped on the AFL if they dare impose an unacceptable penalty. So while it is keeping some of us entertained speculating (and some of us p!ssed off), we really shouldn't read too much into anything published at this stage.
nutbean 8,838 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 tastes like meat to me In China i ate the cartilige from behind the goats knee done in a sweet sauce - it was like chewing on rubber ( rubber done in a sweet sauce)

I'm on the side that if you write "their lawyers remain concerned....." I would say that it has been leaked either by our Legal team or someone who is privy to the machinations of the Club or the Legal Team. Wouldn't you leave yourself open to having to retract.? I am both entertained and [censored].

They served it finely sliced in a firey hot sauce as an entree but it is a versatile dish because if you talk to it dirty it becomes a main meal.
Rhino Richards 1,467 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Disagree completely - we shouldnt read ANYTHING into ANYTHING that is published at this stage. Then the 91 pages so far have indeed been a waste!

beelzebub 23,392 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Not entirely a waste. Educational in a manner.
