Beams signs for 3 ... Cloke edges closer to Dees?

Featured Replies

Cloke to the Dees and as a result Fev to the Pies in the Rookie draft.

While I have been a long-time advocate of us chasing him, I've realised we'd need to offer him $2mil to come to Melbourne.

Then again, so might Carlton and GWS, the way they are going!

He's already signed with us for 7 yrs I believe.

Do you believe that?

Or do you know that?

Or do you think that?

The mysts are clearing....... I see

I see a new coach at Carlton

I see a former charge of this coach joinibg him.

Will make a cuppa later and see if the tealeaves agree !! Lol

Cloke, Mayes, Stringer, Toumpas, Viney = Change

"There can be no great accomplishment without risk".

Cheers Neil.

Or to quote from the blonde kid in fired up

"You got to risk it to get the biscuit"

I said it after the Collingwood v Saints game that Cloke was going to Carlton along with MM! And suck it for those who didn't believe me!

Neither are there yet.

I have it on very good authority. My daughter heard it from a bloke at the gym here in Geelong who heard it from a very good authority.

I think the AGE already has cfh.

The difference is there's are probably never going to start again

I heard terry wallace on SEN after the game on sunday, saying that we have withdrawn our offer to cloke...

Me too

Collingwood may have as well, might be $500 000 x 2 years now.

And I heard it from my dog, who passed it onto my cat, who passed it onto my goldfish before eating him

you speak [censored] dont try that crap on here

Don't be so ( censored ) precious.

The only thing Cloke is edging closer to is a contract with Visy, and a cardboard box full of cash.

The longer Cloke plays like he's limbless, the further he pushes the ambiguity barrow.

I'd love him at Melbourne but who in their right mind would come to us right now? We put David Mackay's name on the map last week with a (rumoured) Brownlow Medallist's salary offer and he isn't flinching. How many times are we going to do this until we realise that nobody's insane interested? There's being bold and then there's being irrational.

As for Cloke's future - yeah, he suits Carlton to a tee. If not, then I'm looking forward to this:

There was a poster (from a few months ago who I haven't seen since) who suggested we build in-house, create stability and the leaders will emerge from within our ranks. I'll salute to that.

pfft here let me try that trick. my sisters friend told my cousins dad who got it from good authority which turned out to be his cat then told my mates grandma... see how good was that!?...

Over in Adelaide, Port Adelaide will be strong favourites at home against a struggling North Melbourne. The day wraps up with a fiery encounter in Canberra, where the Giants and Bulldogs renew their bitter rivalry. Sunday’s schedule kicks off with the Suns aiming to bounce back from their shock defeat to Richmond, taking on the out of form Swans. Then the Blues will be out to claim a major scalp when they battle the Cats at the MCG. The round finishes with a less-than-thrilling affair between Hawthorn and West Coast at Marvel. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

The Dees are back at the MCG on Thursday for the annual blockbuster ANZAC Eve game against the Tigers. Can the Demons win back to back games for the first time since Rounds 17 & 18 last season? Who comes in and who goes out?
