Game Day v Gold Coast

Featured Replies

Geez the Suns are getting some cheap frees...

CLearances we are losing 15 to 31 !!

And we are losing contested possessions!

Last few minutes posessions are about 35 to the suns to 3 Melbourne. WTF?????

What's been worse? Gold Coast or the umpiring?

Umpire 17. Is he the [censored] that didn't allow Howe's mark in Darwin last year? 100% pure bred officious git.

Brad Green's goal celebrations are ridiculous.

This game is the perfect opportunity for players like Gysberts, Strauss and Spencer to really stand up and give it everything they have without the risk of being punished by the opposition, but they all look a bit lackluster.

On a side note, as much as I like Tom McDonald, his ball drop is so bad that if it doesn't improve in a couple of years time he won't be on the list (even with all his positives).

worse game of footy i have watched all year

It ain't pretty first qrt and a half were ok hitting more targets then normal with some decent spread. That 3rd qrt was back to the same old same old going backwards getting caught and not hitting targets. Lucky gold coast are not rewarded for effort and have injured players other wise they'd be right in it!

He really has to respect his limitations. To often tries to be too fancy, must play the percentages

I highly doubt this. Yes his disposal lets him down but his marking and defending work has been exceptional for a 19 year old first season player. I shiver with excitement thinking how good he could be with a few more Pre-seasons and seasons under his belt.

His disposal will improve, I can guarantee it.

Brad Green's goal celebrations are ridiculous.

Cringeworthy.

Glad to have a win but a shocking game to watch.

Our clearance work is shocking.

Our game against Sydney was better than this?

They miss the set shot. We are playing crap.

They are down to 2 players on the bench (since the 2nd quarter) and we still can't outrun them..

Magic bump by Tappy snaps a collar bone of Luke Russell

Another great tappy tackle tales out another suns player. He has been taking angry pills///

Goal number 5 for Green . Thank F for that.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
