Game Day Melb v Richmond

We had to trade Jolly because he wanted more game time and we couldn't give it to him. It was either him or Jeff White, who was AA ruckman at the time. We made the right call there.

Our midfield has been shocking again today. We need an injection of class there through either draft or trading real quick!

And what's the point of it when they have only 1 or 2 angles and can't tell anyway?! We've been robbed 3 times this year now.

But the worst part of it is that on this occasion, the video review WAS conclusive. If we had someone brave in the review box instead of some faceless chicken, we would have had the right call, because that was as clear as day! I don't ever [censored] about the umpiring, but that was atrocious.

That boundary umpire should be suspended.

he should have just worried about his own business, he was not asked and should not have come running in saying it was clearly touched

kick the bloody thing melbourne!!!

Good tackle Joel Mc

Shut up Tiger fans. Suck it up

bate and bail MUST be dropped for next week and trengove will be close

we do not have the skills to play this around the boundry game plan, priority at the draft or trade table must be players with skill by foot

How could there be 4 Richmond players free inside 50 after the ball's been in there for about 5 minutes? Unbelievable. Also. At least the umpires' idiotic goal errors are even now. Atrocious!

Worst team in AFL history. If they arnt weak they're lazy or they're dumb or all three.Dont even mention ball skills

Jonesy!!!!!

Jonesy!!! Right, Moloney time. Get Bail off, get Beamer on to lift the tempo and agro in the middle. Could gives us a lift

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
