To my eyes, Trengoves looked a bit chubby this year.

All year aswell, he should strip some kilos - probably why he has lost his pace.

we have sellar, martin, spencer, garland, rivers, howe, sylvia and yet we have absolutley NO! presence up foward, how is this even possible?

bewick, redden, rockliff, hardwood, golby are just roaming around by themselves

i know they have had injuries etc, but a club like wc, geel, syd would of had strauss, gysberts, morton, watts, tapscott, trengrove, into ALOT more than they are currently outputting, some improving but would be far more advanced at other clubs, frustrating that a mediocre club with no support in brisbane is ripping us apart.

Getting beaten is one thing, but showing nothing is beyond me. No possession chains, no zone, no press, would love to see our KPI board at 3quarter time and see how far behind we are compared to a decent side.

Wow, I didn't expect to win today, but wow, just wow.... Really average effort, and even with my low expectations I'm starting to get angry

Get straight up Watts, when you lay a tackle, dont be content, get up, chase the ball - lay another tackle.

Its what annoys me about Watts, show some desperation!!

I believe you mean 'annus' but what you said actually works even better.

Nope. That was no spelling mistake ;-)

We have had nothing go our way since February. It's becoming absurd. Can we just give up on this year now? Nothing good will come from getting beaten by below par sides. I vote we just come out and say we are playing our kids and winning isn't even a thought.

It's hard to watch your team get smashed by a team of spuds.

What does that make us?

I see your point, but do you reckon 2 of these guys have much improvement to come? Nicho has some handy tools and his development should continue but I suspect the other two are pretty much at their limits.

You shouldn't forget just how big a spud Jamar was before he became good. Sandilands was a big awkward giraffe until mid to late 20s. Way too soon on Spencer. WAY too soon. Nicho you agree. Magner is a grunt player. Put a good midfield around him and let's see. In the meantime, he is still learning.

What a disgraceful quarter.

Players dropping their heads. Pathetic skills and no accountability.

Brisbane just get that ball to the outside as all our mids get sucked into the ball and contest, and then they just march it down the field with barely a fingernail being layed on them.

Haha yeah he's not spot on with recruiting, but he does have 4 premierships so I do listen to his coaching insights..

Terrible quarter. Too many players are giving nothing. I really thought these kind of performances were behind us, I thought the last month since the Carlton game had shown that we'd progressed beyond this.

I'm done with Bate and Dunn, Spencer has gone nowhere in 5 years (who's fault is that? I don't know. But he's gone nowhere at all) and Moloney is a waste. Let's take a look at Davis and/or Cook, let's give Morton the rest of the year to show himself, let's give Gysberts a game, maybe Bennell to try his hand for the rest of the year too. No benefit from playing these four spuds.

Bye bye Brent,

Like a headless chook with a sore toe,

You were great till Bailey went,

And now you're way too slow.

I think the game plan is being taken out of context a little bit here though. Unless there is a better option in the corridor a team should always kick down the lines. You get killed on the corridor turn overs these days. Yes, we're getting killed anyway, but I'd much prefer to instil a thoughtful and disciplined set of team rules. We simply don't have any class in the midfield. The most important position on the ground. We need leg speed there and good decision makers with good skills. Blah, blah, blah. We know it all.

He has about ten-but he still gets it wrong.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
