There are a few listed as coming back this week which is good because we need them:-

Michael Evans (back) - indefinite

James Frawley (calf) - test

Max Gawn (knee) - season

Brad Green (finger) - 1 week

Jordan Gysberts - test (ankle)

Neville Jetta (ankle) - indefinite

Liam Jurrah (wrist) - test

Stef Martin (hip) - test

James Strauss (leg) - test

Josh Tynan (foot) - 2-3 weeks

Although Josh Tynan is listed as "2-3 weeks" an artcile on the club's site indicated he might be right this week.

Also good to see that James Magner is not on the list.

All going well, next week it could be down to just Evans, Gawn, Tynan and Jetta, none of whom are relevant to our fortunes this year. Seeing a short injury list would make a nice change.

Much better keep up the great work boys.

Good to see the Gys back in only i week, i thought i saw him listed as 2-3 weeks last week, which would be a welcome change (ie weeks off not weeks on)

we are 0-5 and 16th so it sounds crazy.. but we do have some good depth when you look at the above names and add Clark with Bennell, Petterd, Blease, Couch and Nicholson at Casey... that's a total of about 14 decent players outside last weeks 22, 6 of them very good players

At risk of inciting a very boring debate about depth that I've seen go around a million times on this site now, knowing that Very Average Player #23 can come in to fill in the role of Being Very Average when Very Average Player #22 gets injured hardly gets me excited.

Honestly - would anyone seriously go "oh, damn, Jones is injured. But thank God we've got Tom Couch to fill the void!"

Next year when we spend the Scully picks and fill our list thanks to a quality deep draft I have a feeling our depth will me more than suffice for modern day AFL footy.

yeah agree with you on an immediate basis but plenty of those boys have their best footy in front of them so it is heartening, not for right now but for the upcoming few years

Don't understand your boring point- depth isn't supposed to be exciting.

What about inspector Taggert? When is he due for a kick?

There is a fair bit of class out of the side that will be pushing up for a spot.

I expect to see some improvement in ball movement with Jurrah ,Gysberts,Martin ,Strauss and even Green pushing for spots.

Frawley back in too.

Whats the story with Ricky P?

Form,attitude , injury?

I see Neeld returning injured players in as subs game by game.

Whats the story with Jetta?

Any thoughts re greens return? Assuming, given he was dropped and out of down when injured he will be coming back through the scorps? That being said, it is a finger injury so hopefully he has been able to work hard on the track at fitness and he may be ready to slot straight back in. Making a senior player earn their spit through Casey upon return from injury would send a strong message.

Perhaps it will depend on performance of the 22 this week?

Also not wanting to fan the fire of a boring debate, you're not suggesting that Jones is "Very Average Player #22", are you?

I thought it might seem that way, but it wasn't intentional. Jones is easily in our top 5 players at the moment.
