GAME DAY - Round 2

We DO NOT have the skills to be pretty with the ball. Results in a goal against us everytime. And here we go. Anybody with a weak heart, nausea, or wants to not break their tv please turn off your tv/radio now

Clark play in front - doesn't matter how skilled or talented you are anyone should be able to do the fundamentals - this is what destroys us time and time again.

Oh no, take the shot DunnY!

Frees are 10-1 to the Eagles. Shouldn't expect any better over there.

Yeah, but we never get reciprocated at the G

God we're [censored] hopeless. Get Grimes out of the backline. Most of our players cannot hit 15 metre targets without pressure. Pathetic. How have we not worked out how to clear the forward press?

No structure, no hardness (no tackles are sticking - weak), no crumbers.

I've yet to see Mitch Clark take a contested mark. He is not a forward. The only times we look deadly is when we're doing the Dean Bailey run through the middle. I don't know what to make of this.

Umpiring is a [censored] disgrace!

Umpiring for the most part is fine... it's the Dees who are a disgrace!

Neeld has alot of work to do.

I have no idea what Dean Bailey was doing for almost 4 years.

He was trying to implement a gameplan that was out-dated. Now Neeld is trying to do the same thing.

We'll be bottom four for the next half decade.

Clark is more of a big bodied midfielder or crumber than a forward. He'd be awesome in the ruck, but for some reason, we're not playing him there.

Gee, I'm surprised West Coast are beating us soundly.

And thats the problem isn't it? Would be nice to be able to watch a game with some expectation that we might be able to actually compete.

It's like a training drill.

For all the hot air and tough talking from Neeld, we have become less competitive since he took over. Shameful.

West Coast are already just cruising... Imagine how nice it would be to do that

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
