No he Played for Melbourne , Was a very good player, and made a decision in his best judgement for himself.

I would like to see anyone on this website turn down 1Million dollars a year.

Give it a rest, i am getting sick of it

get a sense of humour Jordie......life's too short.......it was just a bit of urine extraction

i will happily walk away from this issue..when i know the MFC is strong enough so as not to Kow Tow to the AFL..it is more the principle than the event really.

Spilt Milk it isn't.

i agree Jordie, I seems to be brought up at some point in every thread and no amount of discussion is going to change the past. Time to move on and look forward.

May become a very good player.

He never influenced the outcome of a single game when wearing the red and blue. In reality he gave us nothing.

...maybe because his heart was never in it, maybe because he had a dicky knee, maybe because he was overrated.

On the other hand, maybe he did influence many games, particularly this year due to his toxic influence which spread through the club.

Whatever, the club has been cleansed of him, and his father.....so we can move on without his poison seeping through the ranks.

Quite possibly the best and concise post about the whole saga I have read, in my opinion - and it's in the wrong thread.

The sun will come up tomorrow and life will go on.

Scully is a liar and the enemy now bottom line. And he did wrong by the club i love. So call me a sook but MFC is bigger than a little liar who took up our number 1 pick GO DEES

i too am getting sick of alot of posts in here that have nothing to do with training news and could probably go

to the slag scully thread

if i want to have a rant about how hard done by we were then i go to the relevant thread but

its starting to get a little ridiculous.

this is the training update thread so can't we content ourselves to bagging Gysberts and Blease

about their lack of endurance and condemn each other for percieved flaws in hypothetical game-plans

that will not be validated for another 4months?

would have thought you'd give up the pursuit of truth when the truth was known. to walk away would be giving up

OK im not saying we should not discuss this issue full stop just not here, it has stopped interesting me because i havnt seen anything productive come out of it in months, i also havnt read a Scully thread in weeks though.

In terms of the MFC position, i truly believe we are ina suprior position, better Head coach, coaches, FD, players than in any of the previous years, also got rid of a guy who didnt feel passionately about our club, and we have compensation which puts us in a great position.

The AFL thing, every team has to "Tow the Line" or answer to their call, is this what you meant? even Collingwood, we just need to reduce the amount we do this, they are the governing body they have to be respected imo, no biggie.

edit - will now post about training.

agreed, unfortunately our club is in this position. but supporters and the media aren't. the sooner someone reins in 'pugsly' the better.

OK so i havnt been to training yet this year, seems a hassle as i live in Geelong and it will take 2 hours to get there and mean me being up at 6ish or something. I will do it soon though.

The training itself has seemed to be of a much higher intensity than ever before, that i can recall. I big emphasis on the teams fitness which many were questioning last year. what this means for individuals and the team will only be know in march, but i would have thought it will be emense, in that if we are 10-15% below the AFL average/top teams will that equate to a similar increase in overall performance? will the players get 10-15% more possession? more tackles? more pressure? you would hope so.

Alot has been said of Blease and Gysberts, but im sure Mckenzie, Evans, Sylvia, Tapscott, Watts an co all who arnt unfit but are not in the top bracket, the more we have here the better obviously.

Now for skills....Misson indicated that skills will be taking a bigger spotlight during the new years, although i imagine this may be ontop of a strong cardio regime.

Skills will be big, and i will really be interested in how Neeld and Co. approach this, players such as Moloney, Mckenzie, Rivers, Bartram ect benifiting greately in their games if they would have good to great disposal, many of these guys dont have trouble getting the ball, just using it.
