Lot of respect for the Swans after today. Compare the spirit and intensity they showed to our infamous "performance" a few weeks back.

Obviously a game of footy isn't going to heal the pain Jarrad McVeigh and his wife are feeling, but I hope their win today brought a smile to their face.

Good on ya Swannies. Best win of the season.

even in my 'If Only' tipping, where I tip what I want to happen, I didn't tip the bloods,

and they're my family team!

My Dad is very happy tonight, but still not booking his grand final seat.

Great to see the way they played for their co-captain. That sort of spirit is what Aussie rules is all about.

Agree meritorous win at the Cattery. They won all four quarters. A win to remember.

A team that walks the walk. I have great respect for the swans.

I have always loved how the swans give their all every year.

As impressive the win is, I was even more impressed in the way they did not go beserk after the siren which you can imagine a lot of teams would do after such a drought breaking win. Class act Sydney, great win for the McVeigh family.

Cats were my 'One Tip Winner'..... :-( Fail

Ouch.

Great win by the Swans.

Yeah was an awesome victory even though the record is duboius owing to the teams they play down there

Interesting to note when asked Bob Skilton stated the last time he won down there as a player was by one point in ........1958 haha

Amazing victory. Pure passion and effort.

What may go missing in this is Geelong...peaked too early perhaps? Look at Collingwood and Hawthorn. Hitting their top form at the right time of the year.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?
