I do,! I reckon Uncle Bitters has more skeletons in the closet than "10 Rillington Place"! Gee that might stretch a few memories??!

FMD!!! If you are that old picket you should be dead. Doesn't matter though, Hemingway is dead and he still posts. DC has relations with the almost dead and he still posts. Moonie is brain dead and he still posts. Biffen is morally dead and he still posts. Lawyers are ethically dead and they still post.

I'm getting depressed and must retire for the night.

I've always had a thing about "Lady Penelope" Uncle Bitters, Spine tingling stuff don't you agree!??

Good heavens Pickett do you have no respect for the recently departed? Our good Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward (née Anderson) passed away just last week. Yes we were adversaries at times but we also had a certain rapport, things could have been different but there just too many strings to untangle to make things work! I have been in mourning since I heard the news.

The mere thought of the Uncle drooling over Mi Lady makes me sick to my stomach. And I suspect DC has similar urges as well! Do any of you have one iota of moral decency?

While I am at it is anyone interested in purchasing a pink roller with a few miles on the clock?

The last time DC seduced a younger woman they made a sex tape.

I believe they called them silent movies in those days.

I'm assuming that is a rhetorical question, Earl?

looks like earl has wrested the keeper of the moral compass title from that distinguished predecessor, to add to his other titles

And you should be dead with the amount of shiraz you consume Bitters.

Will you be sporting the depressive maths teacher look with ugly colourful jumper mismatched with slack, long sock and sandals or maybe you'll just run with the reclusive snowdropper turtle neck? I never know with you.

Ill be wearing plaid and stripes as usual.

You'll be wearing a hound's tooth jacket with leather elbow patches I'm guessing Biff. The stereotypical Demons supporter for sure.

Pamela Anderson's mother died?

Have it on good authority that Biffen and Uncle Bitter were very complimentary towards the umps during the first half of the game.

I will be up and about early tomorrow for my normal one hour power walk but I won't be crossing Smith Street into Collingwood tomorrow that is for sure. They are getting one hell of a pasting from the Swans. Will be dangerous territory tomorrow for non believers. There is some good coffee to be had in Abbottsford so I may have to approach via East Melbourne.

You know it is a good day when the Dees win and both the scum and the filth get flogged .... :)

DC hasn't reported in tonight,I think he might be kicking a few goals in Glen Iris right now.

Finally recovered from the  ....excesses .. excitement of Saturday at the G.  Bumped into Biffen pre game and couldn't shake him off so consequently had to put up with his loutish and drunken behavior throughout the afternoon.

There were good looking sheilas nearby and your old Uncle might have struck up a conversation were it not for my immediate company. Anyway, as if sensing my discomfort, Biffen proposed a post game celebratory drink and offered to shout. (That is, shout something other than obscenities).

We decamped to an absolute dump of a pub where Biffen purchased a bottle of horse [censored] that had apparently been mislabeled as Shiraz. Well I had to reciprocate .....

What has my life become .................?

I recall the afternoon differently to our debauched uncle bitters.

I arrived at Fed square nice and early so as to deliver my theories on modern feminism to my adoring public. The throng were soon enthralled ( particularly accepting of my idea that lesbianism will increase due to the absence of real men in modern society). Soon after I had delivered the lecture and was receiving congratulate drinks from my undergraduate fans when who should interlope with his Brown stained vinyl jacket than the flatulent one himself.

more later as I have a pressing g mer a tile arrangement to attend to...

I was at fed square and heard biffo. i was shocked. my lawyers are currently busily documenting a writ for plagiarism

his speech was word for word from my recent blog - "the modern hellenic revolution - the decline of heterosexuality in the west"

Mercantile rather.

Once again technology has destroyed my perfect syntax.

Biffen, during this 'meeting', did you and Uncle Bitter manage to avoid attracting the attention of the local constabulary?

Now listen everybody while there is a quiet moment. I have it on very good authority ( a tradey I frequently employ who is shagging one of Earl Hood's maids). Apparently everyone in the Earl's household is walking on eggshells. The Earl is beside himself that he did not get a sniff in the Australia Day Awards. Now I'm sure he will crack tough. but this combined with the reversals from his Cuban adventure could push him over the edge.

We all know what the aristocracy (tories)  can do in these circumstances! Fishnet stockings, garter belt, a rope and hope for a happy ending!!!

Feeling the Earls pain here.

Disgusting in this age of innovation and free trade that the unselfish efforts of the earl are not suitably recognised.

Although I may be incorrect with some of this statement!???????

Please Ignore

Haven't participated in any of the wonderful conversations that occur on this thread since this apparently unsent missive.

Cant seem to delete the reference and hope this submission clears it .

Was concerned about the outcome of proceedings given the sudden interruption.

Was Bitter overcome by the Poor quality shiraz

Was Biffen affected by the g mer a tile arrangement

Was DC overcome by his outing coinciding with a Dees win

The coincidences of victory can often leave an addled and confused state , similar to that evidenced by Malcolm on finally achieving the prize but not knowing what to do next.

I hope our players are receiving appropriate post match remedial treatment to ensure that the next match continues their astonishing rise and the unfamiliar territory of winning.

Oh ... and just to add to any confusion from the conglomeration of posts above, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT listen to Biffen when he gives a "sure thing" tip on the races. Now excuse me while I put my idiot's cap back on and give my ( poorer but wiser) self a jolly good flogging.

picked up my scarf at the mfc tent before the game from josh wagner. he just grinned when i said "guten tag herr wagner. ich mag deine musik"

  • PREVIEW: Sydney

The two teams competing at the MCG on Sunday afternoon have each traversed a long and arduous path since their previous encounter on a sweltering March evening in Sydney a season and a half ago. Both experienced periods of success at various times last year. The Demons ran out of steam in midseason while the Swans went on to narrowly miss the ultimate prize in the sport. Now, they find themselves outside of finals contention as the season approaches the halfway mark. The winner this week will remain in contact with the leading pack, while the loser may well find itself on a precipice, staring into the abyss. The current season has presented numerous challenges for most clubs, particularly those positioned in the middle tier. The Essendon experience in suffering a significant 91-point loss to the Bulldogs, just one week after defeating the Swans, may not be typical, but it illustrates the unpredictability of outcomes under the league’s present set up.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

  • PREGAME: Sydney

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
