Since we are not trying to win games this season I not rushed over East to watch a live game this season. But t I me is getting away from me so it looks like the Hawks game is a goer.

It my understanding that due to the cold weather warm beer is all the rage at the Gat these days. So how do I go about placing an order for a few cold ones?

Sounds good. A late Saturday afternoon game is not bad ... I will be there.

And if you want to talk [censored], see jazza

Think he paying me back for my milk price joke LOL

Excellent.

An innovation you might wish to suggest on your return to the management of the Gat?

You are on the money here WJ. Biffen actually runs a service that is not so much a happy hour but does guarantee a "happy ending".

BTW. I have been trying to track Biffen down - if we don't hear from him soon i reckon he has (as the salvos say) been promoted to glory along with Lordweaver..

I didn't attend the footy today nor did I even think about it until about 6.00 pm this evening. Today I had the privilege of attending a "special olympics" swimming carnival. Most of the competitors were Down Syndrome the the others had ID's of various types.

The highlight for me was a 50 metre race where 3 0f the competitors had finished and the fourth was about 3/4 of a pool length behind. The crowd cheered the last person on and, as she came near the finish, the other three who were still in the water began to clap.

I am a hard hearted bastard but this made me cry. Actually writing about it now is making me cry.

It puts life in perspective.

Nice story, BBO. Much better than the rubbish I sat through at the MCG ...

Jazza I found one of your cows the other day.

I don't know what you are feeding them but I am sure Biff wants a kilo or two of it.

Whats a good area to sit in and watch the game?

Second thoughts may be watching the games is not so important after how badly we play against good sides.

I think these guys know which god to pray to for on field success

Does any one know which God they worship?

Put them both in the forward line.

If i knew how to work a computer properly,i would get this picture printed, its a beauty.

Although it would be hard to milk the buggers, when they are off swimming all day.

Don't be fooled RBB

The post was from a hacker, as the post is clear not from BBO.

Read all his previous posts for proof.

Yeah,thanks big fella.

Well my other advice is always to say "turn the computer off for 2 minutes"

But in this case not sure it would help.

I am absolutely amazed not one has commented on the jumper yesterday.

I truly would have preferred the white one.

From the outer it is just a dark blue nothing.

Take the lens cap off the binoculars next time OD.

Assuming the game is worth watching, it depends on what you want to see most. Yesterday I went with a group of people and we went in Gate 5. As it was raining when we got there, we couldn't find seats under cover on the ground level, so we went up to level 2A (just in front of all the corporate superboxes). This gave quite a good view of the ground, although it was a little exposed when it started raining later. Unfortunately we got to see Geelong's second quarter rampage up close ...

Otherwise, ground level in the Northern stand is one spot I like, as you can hear the players calling to each other when the play is nearby,or the top level for a 'coaches' view of the game (and plenty of room to move around and choose a particular spot).

No I don't think that was the problem Biffen I could see Blue and white ones running all over the place.

Maybe the Dees could see each other in that load of dark crap?

So you have not joined Lordweaver in the great beyond Biff. Surprising!

However it may be time to reinvent yourself - your licentious lifestyle and illegal interests are surely leading you closer to perdition.

was interesting they wouldn't put on the lights in the first half when it was dark

then in the second half the sky was blue the sun came through and they turned the lights on

go figure

agree on the crappy jumper od, just what were they trying to prove

seems that when they get a chance to wear the home strip they think of some cockamaney reason to wear some pantomine special occasion crap

yeah, i know the tv stations wanted it

clown outfits next week would be appropriate

I have merely been on an extended bender.

Lordweaver must have found a higher calling.

I cannot recant my lascivious lifestyle- I have made a solemn pact.

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
