It seems no-one noticed the passing of NTSNBS's 10th birthday on 8 July. Belated congratulations to you then, Thread, to your single parent @Redleg, and to all who have sailed in you (me being only a very green rating).

Granted, as @old dee's orphan post on the day glumly reflected, it was the week after the season-ending (😄😆🤣😂) Giant's loss, so there might have been other things on the Good Ship NTSNBS's collective mind...

Tim you seem a touch confused. The unmentionable’s name is not the name of the thread, but only part of it, abbreviated by first letters only. So his name is not No T$ No BS but rather part of the thread title only. Hope that clears it up for you.

Secondly why are you talking about him, as he doesn’t exist on here.

Third, keep enjoying the thread and post on all matters non T$ or non BS, as is the mantra of the thousands of fellow contributors.

Fourth, be nice to uncle Bitters, as he might invite you around to the manor for a tipple, from his latest wine cask, purchased from the local $2 shop, on one of their half price special sale days. You can get a lovely drop for a dollar these days.

Gosh, Redleg, I thought I'd at least have to reach junior officer level for such an invitation!

No confusion at all - though I realise my naming of the Valiant Vessel should have been NT$NBS. My reference, and congratulations, to 'Thread' was to (The) NT$NBS - i.e. No T$ No BS - thread, definitely not, in any way to the individual WSNBN. But, a 'mea culpa' if (as the mealy-mouthed contrite like to say these days) 'anyone has been offended'.

Onwards across the seven seas!

Red, I am deeply wounded.

After all my years of valuable and profound intellectual contributions to this thread you still misrepresent my tastes in vino.

I hereby declare and  caste aside all doubts, Chateau Cardboard has no place in The Manor's fine collection of plonk.

( excepting of course, those occasions when The Manor's budget is a tad strained)

Ahoy there Tim! I’m most definitely a stowaway on the good ship HMAS NT$NBS. I’m actually lucky I wasn’t keelhauled for mentioning the unmentionable. I was, however, thrown in the brig for 24 hours. I have learned the error of my ways and am suitably repentant. Captain Redleg need not ever worry about a mutiny or anything of the sort.

well maybe just a little one, of sorts, now and again. just to keep us reinvigorated

and according to moonie, uncle's taste in wine leaves a lot to be desired, as does his taste in mutton

Now I find out that HWSNBN, thinks he is a cricket umpire as well and once called our beloved Captain Maxie for chucking.

How dare he suggest that Maxie would bend the arm when bowling.

You mean you’re not walking around the house singing that every day????!!!!

I also got boostered today but I’m not as fortunate as you with regards to side effects. I feel like I’ve just gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. 🤕

sorry to hear that. a number of friends had the same experience but the good news is that it only lasted about 24 hours, so here's hoping the same for you

(c.c. @daisycutter)

I was done yesterday. Is insomnia a symptom? It's after midnight and I've been able to stay awake watching R23 from 7 minutes to go in the 3rd.

Looking forward to symptoms extending into tomorrow night...

Interesting use of the word ‘caste’ there, Bitter. So do you mean cast aside, as in put aside? Or is there a deeper meaning just lacking a couple of commas. Ie, ‘I hereby declare and, caste aside, etc?’ 😜

It was clearly a spelling error

He meant cask,

having said this , since the wonderful Chinese government banned red wine from Oz, the cheap red is much better.

not so good for the winemakers, swings and roundabouts, Covid and Demons premiers.
we live in interesting times.

Don't think I've ever posted here. Just want to congratulate Redleg on their 10+ year thread after reading the OG post.

Thank you and welcome aboard the good ship NT$NBS.

Enjoy the cruise.

I doubt that is a symptom DC. More likely the result of the 57 years wandering in the wilderness.

With the covid thread slammed shut I am left to discuss the problem on here. Will we be able to attend games again the season. With the case numbers mounting will we get some sort of normal season? 2 weeks ago I thought yes now I am far from sure.

Good pick up Fanatique. I am at a loss to explain that gaffe. Perhaps I need a shrink of the Sigmundian school to undertake some delving into that slip.

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players.
