not surprised you were getting the glances bbo

i understand the staff at the rehab centre gym are running a book on how long before you are pushing up daisies

Another naysayer. Be careful dc or, one day, the new bbo will arrive in Borewood and you'll lose the blue rinsers forever!

Like yourself jazza, i am transmogrifying into a new and even better me.

Had my first gym session (properly called a workout I believe) today. My Personal Trainer escorted me to a treadmill to “warm up”, as she put it. That was quite painful as the side rails rubbed rather nastily on my manly mid section.

I was gasping and bawling after about 30 seconds so she decided I was warmed up enough. She also attempted to get me on a bike but that caused some very embarrassing personal issues.

Now it was time to “pump iron”. I was led to a machine called the “Pec Deck” – apparently used to develop one’s pectorals. Well my pectorals hang to my waist so I didn’t think further development was required. However, I allowed myself to be guided by the professional (as I have on many previous occasions)

An excruciating experience but I did my 5 “reps” (that’s gym talk) and called it a day.

I understand protein intake is advised after a workout so I purchased (and consumed) 2 meat pies on the way back to the manor.

I’ll have a day’s rest and be back into it on Thursday.

However, I feel I have made advances already.

"Pec Deck"??? Is your trainer a Kiwi by chance Bitty? If so, I think she was referring to you, unfortunately.

Cool,i dont mind an armless joke.

D59 Pangs are lessening but ever so slowly. And yes its colder than a witches t1t down here

Keep it up! (ie more jokes and no durries).

+1

What can I add?

OD would add single malt ...

Very negative and unsupportive of you Biffen. I am sure that when I become a new man I'll be be a big hit at the Gat and you'll be in my shadow.

BTW. As to "visual stimulation", I was receiving quite a few meaningful glances today!!

hahahahahahahahha So let me get this right.

You are Fat,Bald and Ugly and now besides being an alco you're trying to change by getting rid of the puppyfat.

haaaaaaaaahhahahahhahaWont work BBO,you will still be ugly andbald besides being an alky.

Give up now, before you embarass this thread and all the old,fat balding posters that rely on you're normality.

When I'm buffed and virile and doing all night, what you blokes can only dream of all night - then we'll see.

PS. I'm not sure "puppyfat" is the term I would have chosen.

Sorry to talk footy here guys, but I heard Ian Prendergast the Player's CEO, on radio this morning say, that Free Agency was needed and was good as how else would players get to the better clubs so that they could play in finals. I thought that was a pretty pathetic comment, but at least honest and shows the real agenda behind FA.

Free Agency has nothing to do with equalisation, it is solely about players leaving the weaker clubs for the stronger ones. It will help to destroy the game.

FA was after all driven by players.....for guess who ?? Its no surprise then that as its a blinkered and skewed perspective ( the AFLPA ) that its a smooth going as a Roller Bearing in sawdust.

Given up the darts and then started the hallucinogens Jazza?

Another successful workout completed. After a solid minute or so on the treadmill my PT gave me a new exercise today. Barbell curling is, I believe, what she called it. Good for the "guns" evidently. My guns are off course, quite huge but perhaps a tad flaccid. She said I demonstrated good "form" with this exercise. ("Form" is important in gym parlance). She went on to say that in a few weeks she would start putting some weights on the bar! Made me quite swell with pride.

Anyway, I was so encouraged that I scoffed two quiches rather than unhealthy pies on the way home.

Using words like flaccid/swell in the same post mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

This exercise krap has gone to your head my good man.

Quit now before you start a new life of health and fitness overload.

Now don't be jealous Jazza, just because my flaccid still swells.

BTW

Although I do not wish to discourage your new found health zealotry, you mentioned that you pectorals were resting on your gut.

This means they are technically titz as pectoral is a muscle..

And I thought you only pumped irony.

Now don't get uppity on me Biffen. I know those girls at the Gat have titz that rest on their gut.

Real men don't eat quiche Bitty. And I'm pretty certain PT stands for psycho-therapist...

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
