Still can't work out how Jimmy T is not back in the side, after his performances with Casey.

He still needs to improve his contested ball and tackling. Roos will have him working on this side of his game, he is a young player, plenty of time for him to improve at Casey. There was only 1 vacancy in the firsts and Jetta had earned that spot with his performances over many weeks. Suddenly we are building a culture where players aren't gifted easy games in the firsts, they have to earn them over and over again at Casey.

I can see the benefit of that policy. 30 plus performances in consecutive games would generally get you a gig. Maybe that is a good thing.

Are we all barracking for the Doggies, hoping to see their opposition implode after another loss.

If he does it again this week and there is a spot for him in the seniors I am sure he will be considered next week. Roos has stopped the revolving doors and is trying to develop a team that is not scared that if they stuff up a couple of things they won't automatically be dropped.

I have faith in Roos and his men to turn us around. I think it would be helpful on a few fronts if Roos announced he was with us for at least the full 3 years and would then consider the position after that.

Just listened to Malthouse. He is cooked, without any shadow of a doubt.

What did he say?

If I look for a positive, it is probably that under Roos we are learning to stay in the game. Last year that would have been a 12-15 goal defeat.

We are working on the Sydney style, of defence first and it is reducing the losing margins and giving us some chance to still win games.

Watts is copping a bucketing on the Post Match thread. From where I sat, ( in the AFL members on the wing ) he is getting off lightly.

btw...how did football sneak into this thread ?? lol

Can't speak for DC but I suspect Biffen has been heavily embroiled in his drug business. As for Fl og - he's probably forgotten his single digit password and unable to post.

Just been stealing cattle and shorting some power for a mate near Colac for his hydro farm . Too busy to post Jazza .

Check those cattle Biff!! If their teats look bruised and roughly fondled they probably belong to Jazza.

You really do post some of the breast posts.

They make boobs of some posters.

If my information is correct then about a dozen Essendon players will be growing voluptuous breasts in the very near future. No idea how or what's making that happen.

Maybe they're onto that colostrum drug! Jazza swears by it.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
