Keep up the good form, WJ. It is still a long way to 1,000... :-)

But Im not sure about it as I keep hearing voices that tell me otherwise . ^_^

I have a piece of red and blue plastic with my name on it that reminds me each week that I am insane ... :-)

No, it needs to be at the top of the list.

At least some good news, Jack Watts says he wants to stay a Demon and has instructed his manager to start discussions with us. Hopefully he re signs soon and then we can move on to some others we want to keep.

Some other good news would be the retirement of Byrnes and maybe Pedersen.

How bad was Pederson? He is a good size would love to see him lay a few good knocks but he is soft as butter. I'd put Byrnes and keep him in a forward pocket (if they insist on playing him that is)

Pedersen is not in our best 28-30 and makes poor decisions. He is also not a very hard at it footballer. IMO he is a VFL footballer.

I would never play Byrnes again. I watched him for a lot of the game. He doesn't even try and spoil if the kick is not directly to him. He is slow. He turned it over yesterday on nearly every possession he had. Reluctantly I would play him at Casey. As one of the other club's recruiters said, " he was struggling in the VFL last year".

If you add Gillies we have recruited a trio of guys that are clearly way below AFL standard.

The item that beggars belief is we swapped Gysberts for Pedersen and gave him a three year deal.

I would prefer to play any kid than this trio they are bloody useless.

Locked to the top of the first page (like the Code of Conduct thread).

I think we certainly deserve that.

Just finished reading the book on Black Caviar by Gerard Whately, a very good read.

Today I was in Chadstone shopping centre in the book shop and bought two books. One was the Master, the story of Bart Cummings, by the the greatest racing writer in the world, Les Carlyon. The second was a bit smaller and is called Life is Sport and Sport is Life, by Tami and Paul Roos. Thought it might be interesting.

Think I can sum it up pretty easily as follows, it is a book about a mare that won all her 25 starts and is the best sprinter, give or take Vain, that we have ever seen.

Saw film of Crowley barrelling into Boomer and sending him sprawling before the game started. Umpire right there tell Crowley to calm down and no free kick. Commentators furious as no free kick paid.

Then I contrast that with the soft bump on Jones of the Saints, by Dunn, when Garland is about to kick out and reversal and Nick gets a free from 10 metres out.

That is just so inconsistent. Amazing how weak sides cop that so often.

There were four pathetic free goals given to the Saints, all controversial, yet not one to us. Funny that.
