Time for some Uncle Bitterness.

Sounds like someone put chlorine in the moat, or just simply hid the wine casks.

Does that involve bananas and alpacas?

Mrs. Redleg was ill on the weekend with a stomach issue and we ended up spending the night in Emergency at a Hospital.

All good now.

Guess what she was told to eat, to help avoid future issues, yes BANANAS.

I of course like a good dutiful husband, have joined her in this quest.

I have done that recently Mr Leg spending hours in the emergency at night is not something I would even wish on a pies supporter. How is she now? Did the bananes do there thing?

I had to work on my disappointment about both my AFL and WAFL teams recent performances. It can be hard having one eye Red and the other eye Blue at times.

Amen to that DF.

All good thanks, bananas are magic and it is our anniversary tomorrow.

Funny how we applaud anniversaries.

It's a sad indictment when one really thinks about it.

But congrats nonetheless.

Yes, I am at Southland shopping centre and haven’t got lost yet, unlike my last visit to Chadstone shopping centre.

Littler Goffy made a fun mess of the banana but has now been provided with civilization's second greatest invention (after the epidural) - a holdable squishy thingy you can stuff soft foods in and which babies can then safely gum away at as little slobbery blobs squeeze out. It's like a teether and a self-feeder in one go. Honestly, it is just historically ingrained habit which stops us from all using these for all food, all the time.

I took umbrage with your suggestion... but then I realised that I'm a big fan of eating crunchy or chewy foods whenever I feel bored and snacks. So yes, I am effectively a big baby haha

Well you are missing out. More drama the a Melbourne Football Club board room meeting.

The league is currently renegotiating the player salaries and conditions. They offered the players about a four time benefits increase, but the players are turning down the offer. Think the players want a similar deal to the men. Unfortunately for the ladies they don't generate around 11 billion dollars in revenue that the men do. Last season the WNBA lost fifty million dollars, which the NBA had to subsidised. There is talk about a lock out of players this season and maybe the end of the WNBA.

There is a young player that has attracted a lot of attention from the public and sponsors called Cathlain Clark. As a result the attendance at games has significantly increased as well the TV coverage. The league is trying not too promote her, which is weird, and maybe allow other players to physically attack her on field. Little to no protection from the umpires. The old veterans appear to really dislike all the attention she getting.

I think the NBA and WNBA will undergo an investigation by the FBI.

You mean Caitlyn Clark and yes she has copped a lot of physical attention on the court without a lot of referees’ protection.

If you all get a chance, listen to the Bike Boy podcast, it’s mind blowing.

She is a very exciting player and getting a lot of attention and obviously a lot of opponents don't like it.

Hope you are ok and getting better.

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

  • PREGAME: St. Kilda

With just over two weeks until their opening match of the 2026 AFL Premiership season, the Demons are already well on the path to redemption and have the Saints firmly in their sights ahead of their mid-March clash at the MCG. What do you think the team will look like when they run out on to the G?

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.
