On a more serious note, has anyone noticed that aperol spritz often tastes quite different, depending on the maker?

PS: Mrs Redleg is quite partial to an expresso martini and I can tell you, from having sneaked a sip here and there, they are quite delicious.

Have to admit rather sheepishly, I had my first pinacolada in many years last night and it was very disappointing. I remember it as a creamy drink and this one wasn’t that at all.

On another note, what BS the AFL spins, with another example being the ambassadorial money they allow some clubs like the rumoured hundreds of thousands of dollars Dimma could be paid by the AFL to coach GC, outside the footy cap for “promoting Queensland footy”.

What pure garbage. Just say you are giving them a handout, to get the coach you want them to have.

My last pinacolada was in Vegas about 8 years ago at Paris casino. It came in a massive Eiffel tower glass and I could see the guy tip half a bottle of rum in. I just managed to make it to the end but got dared to have another one. I was totally floored the next day and could barely move. The mere smell of pineapple juice made me sick for at least a year afterwards.

Wow.  A couple of years and several hundred pages since I’ve visited this thread.  And I only have to scroll back a few posts to see bananas are still a hot topic!

Congrats on the persistence!

Quote

On 8 April 1985, during a VFL reserves game, Bourke kicked Sydney Swans ruckman Pat Foy in the groin in response to Foy tagging him throughout the game. When umpire Phil Waight attempted to report Bourke for the incident, Bourke shoved him to the ground and kicked him, and also made contact with a Collingwood runner who was attempting to take him off the ground before running into the stands to attack a Swans fan.[2]

The match was being broadcast on the Seven Network, with commentator Ray Jordon crying "You've gotta take the boy off!" as the incident unfolded.[3]

As a result, Bourke was handed a suspension of ten years, equivalent to 240 matches.[4] It was later reduced to six years.[5]

Eff it, I hope I can be at the ground this year if we make it.   Go Dees     Love this thread.
