No drugs: just a temporary memory loss: I have had 93 jobs, after all, hated 89 of them. Then again, reading Camus and Dostoevsky after I'd cleaned the dunnies, being paid to sit out till 9PM..... Yep, Elizabeth street, Bourke St corner, I was there when it flooded in 1971 or so, had walked down through the rain from Alcoa's Head Office, corner Bourke and Williams, title Accounts Clerk, to watch the streets being 'swept away'. I was a great poet in them days....

I am just waiting for someone to claim that a Tim Tam is a chocolate bar.

Re-discovered these a few weeks back courtesy of my lil storm cloud.

Forgot how much better than a Tim Tam they are and you have a cheerful time eating them as well apparently.  Unbeatable for $2.25 atm!

Hoadley's was a melbourne company. They then merged with pommy rowntrees to become rowntree-hoadley, Eventually they sold out to nestle who dropped many hoadley originalls including the original hoadley tex bar known (quite rightly) as the "king of chocolate bars".

so put that in ya pipe and smoke it

Seem to recall they had one of the best show bags when they were just Hoadleys including some treats that were exclusive to the bag!

Real value there.

If I had my way, Easter eggs would be in supermarkets every day of the year. Not the cheap and nasty ones, Cadbury being the minimum in quality.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
