That's not funny, this is a very serious thread.

Whilst that funny sideline ..( the QB debacle was on ...) I was speeding through China . The previous day at the Zoo I enjoyed a rather refreshing Ice cream on a stick....very ingenious these Chinese ;)

( Chinese net rules preclude me from adding a picture lol )

Thought Febey's comment was not bad, but beware The Banana Thought Police.

The barbarians are at the gates.

They will take you down if you dissent or question the purity of the line.

A wonderful realisation about Bananas...among the few really safe things to eat while traveling...come with own protection ;)

Don't worry, just buy a nice bunch of bananas for your physical and emotional well-being.

However, you could further indulge.

Perhaps try watching some repeats of Bananas in Pyjamas.

You could take the opportunity to improve your knowledge on the banana.  Its nouns, adjectives, synonyms, derived terms, foreign language meanings, pronunciation, racial significance, freudian relevance etc. There is also the banana's significance as a figure of speech, its allegorical meanings, not to forget its relevance as a metaphor or analogy.  Really a limitless subject.

Just think Red of all that time you will have researching, talking about and writing about bananas. Engage your analytical mind.

You don't need to worry about footy or searching for salacious stories contained in case law and the ratio decidendi or obiter dicta of your extensive law library.  We have enough salacious [censored] bits from other posters on this thread. That just lowers the standard and of course the tone. Wrong side of the tracks and all that.

Funny you should mention bananas, as I had a banana smoothie today that was excellent. It was at the bakery cafe on Burke Road near Toorak Road in Auburn I think the suburb is.

The smoothie was ice cold which I love and contained honey, cocoa, chia, skim milk and magnificent banana.

Demonland and this thread have a great deal in common with the great Leonard Cohen who spent six years of his life before he became famous on the Greek Island of Hydra. This book explains what kept him alive during that time.

Growing your own bananas is very therapeutic.

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

Melbourne’s slow starts have been a troubling theme for a while. Against the Suns, they started slowly in both of their games, they trailed by 5.7.37 to 0.1.1 at quarter time at Peoples First Stadium in Round 16. This season, the story has remained the same and if the Demons fail to shake off this issue against the unbeaten Gold Coast Suns, they will be in serious danger of capitulating once again in their Easter Sunday showdown.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
