What mags did the man bun north Fitzroy hipsters read back in the 60's?

Hipsters didn't frequent North Fitzroy in the 60s, let alone live there in those days. It was still all working class and indigenous peoples.

BTW anyone noticed Biffen has been very quiet of late??

Anyone care ?? No OK!!

I believe he is over his transgender foolishness.

However he is still doing drugs at an alarming rate.

Still bludging off Social Security I believe.

Still has my credit card.

Good point Jack - now I know why you are a lawyer (shifty [censored]).

What I should have asked was, "what mags did those [censored] who evolved into bun packing hipsters read in the 60's"?

Well another football year grinds to a halt and in spite of my positivity last week the result was the same.

I think I am spent for a while.

I will probably fire up again but this time it is far from certain.

Normally at the end of August I am looking forward to the draft season not this year.

Right I do not give a toss.

Have you considered the likelihood that you were the cause of our recent disaster od?

Chaos theory tells us that a butterfly breaking wind in New York can cause a brother and sister to divorce in Tasmania - or something like that. So just consider the possible implications of your untrammelled positivity on an unsuspecting universe.

its got to that for sure

Ive fallen out of love with the MFC

Theyve hurt me for far too long

Quite frankly the club is just full of bullshlt artists and spin junkies posing as coaches.

We're now going nowhere at lightning speed...a big improvement from lurching from catastrophe to bungle !!

Not getting my money next year until im convinced they are fair dinkum. Had enough

As I mentioned last week after mr Jackson and Roos said it was all the members fault.

If only I had known half a century ago I could have left and both the MFC and myself would have been better off.

The MFC would have no doubt won another five or six flags and I would have enjoyed being a Hawthorn or similar Fan.

Sorry guys, been working on re-staffing some of my semi legit business operations with 457 workers.

Flat out conducting interviews and my own version of a personality test.

Seems no one has been overly fussed by my absence.

Negative,self-obsessed old prix that you are.

Except for BBo who made time to slander me once again.

Tough break for to be employing at this time Biffen. Once your potential slaves employees realize they can get $10.00 /hour at 7/11, you won't see them for dust!!

Is it compulsory for your 457's to wear a Hawaiian shirt similar to your avatar Biff?

It's difficult running a business 24/7 .

The staff were so ungrateful .

I feel for the poor man who owns them all.

Most of my employees are under control thank goodness.

I hate dissent in the ranks.

Spoils my footrub and bath time.

God no Moon.

They must wear uniform to remove any sense of identity or individualism they may possess.

PS I happened to be listening to a subscriber based radio station the other day when a green ,lefty susso type pledged them financial support.

Although I have my doubts that he will actually pay, it sounded like it could have been a communist sympathiser like yourself.

Speaking as one of those shifty [censored] lawyers, I reckon that book is inadmissible in evidence on the grounds that it was published in 2009.

The definitive publication of the era for the North Fitzroy push in the 60s would have been Truth.

very sneaky jack....2009.....got me on a technicality......i'll be filing for a re-trial with new (as in old) evidence)....lol

p.s. i understand young lawyers in those days would moonlight by writing "creative" pieces for the truth's heartbalm column

While I'm uncertain of the impact The Truth had on the North Fitzroy Push, I must say it had a profound impact on me. Helped make me the man I am.

"Heart Balm" was my source to learn norms of proper social and relationship behaviours. It also provided a wonderful devils advocate to the sexual and moral education provided by the Christian Brothers.

Explains a bit about me I suppose.

    HIGHLIGHTS/LOWLIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Melbourne traveled across the continent to take on the Fremantle Dockers in sweltering conditions at Mandurah south of Perth in a game that delivered the club both its highlight and its lowlight in the first minute.  But first, let’s start by doing away with the usual cliches used in connection with the game. It was just a practice match and the result didn’t matter. Bad kicking is bad football. The game was played in severe heat, the swirly breeze played havoc with both teams resulting in

    TRAINING: Friday 28th February 2025

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you their observations from today's training session before the Demons head off to Perth for their final Practice Match. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Beautiful morning, not much wind, more than a couple of dozen spectators.  The players were up and about, boisterous and having fun. One of their last drills were three teams competing in a hard at it, handball game in a small area. Goody

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
