I think we need to be Visable in the ground, BUT do not buy any food or beverages....Let the AFL pick up the Tab.

Absolutely perfect WYL and agree 100% - hurt the AFL where it hurts the most - The Hip Pocket. The decision against Trenners has nothing to do with the tackle or the rules it is all about AFL liability and henceforth $$$$$$....

Buy nothing at the ground and let the AFL foot the bill......Go to The Wharf hotel for your before and after game needs

We need our supporters to get to the ground in numbers and cheer on our boys. Trenners would want all supporters there....The last few weeks could be a turning point for the club and I think we have unleashed the future captain of the Dees in young Jack Trengove....

Get to Ethiad and Go Dees

Just posted a query on the "Contact us" section of the AFL website:

"Will the Match Review Panel ensure from now on that any and all tackles which result in an injury to the player tackled, regardless of the intent of the tackler, and regardless of his club, are severely penalised?

Will the field, boundary and goal umpires be directed to report any and all such tackles as they occur on the field of play?

Will the penalties for cowardly, deliberate off-the-ball elbow-to-the-face type incidents continue to be less severe than penalties for injuries caused unintentionally during the course of play?"

The auto reply came back:

"Your enquiry has been sent, you should hear back from us soon!"

AFL: I want action, not words.

I stand beside My Brother Jack.

i hope we belt the living day light out of them personally, i would love nothing more too see our boys absolutely smashing with tackles and north boys limpin for the ground!

I'm liking the armbands idea as it is simple and visible, but I this is something we should do as fans and let the players get on with the job. I'm not sure about going to the ground but not entering because the boys need our support and I'm sure hearing our roar lifts their spirits.

I'm guessing the TV cameras will avoid if possible any banners that support Jack, you will, if taking a banner, need to be in a prominent position for it to be picked up. Behind the goals?

You have no idea how blatantly angry i am about this. We have been completely ripped off and bullied by the AFL.Trenners is just a kid who loves playing with the boys and we owe it to him, the rest of the team and the game itself to make some kind of protest and make it hurt the AFL just as much as theyve hurt us. The armbands is a good idea and i also think that the marshmallows would work too if everyone in the stands contributed to it. We need to think of something quick smart and spread the word so everyone knows.

It would be awesome if we could get the kangas fans to come in on this as well to show that it is an across the board fan position and not just the bleatings of disgruntled Melbourne fans.

I think before the game as soon as the clock strikes 2pm. Everyone should bring a packet and pelt them from everywhere!!

I reckon we rename each end of the ground "The Jack Trengove End" and create two large banners to be placed there during the game. Whichever way anybody looks they will notice Jack's name.

The #freetrengove on twitter has been great.

If only there was a company out there with a bit of spunk willing to print a couple of thousand cardboard signs with freetrengove on them to pass out to punters. You know, like the ones that might say 'great goal' with the companies logo attached.

Channel 10.

And the cameras will definitely try and get shots of any Trengove banners.

(I hate North too and didn't realise how many other people felt the same. Pack of whingers).

I disagree. It would be 'newsworthy' and thus the media would show it, as WYL has said.

If you want a visible protest that is not over the top, how about when the coin is tossed every Melbourne supporter stand up and turn his back on the ground until the game starts and do the same thing for the whole 1/4 and 3/4 breaks. Also we don't buy anything at the ground so that their figures are affected. I can tip off a few mates in the media who will be on to it.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

A couple of intrepid Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock for the midweek Preseason Training Session to bring you the following observations. Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
