As I think I've said before, many factories close for over a month over CNY and some don't get many of their workers back when they reopen. Often the factories I deal with lose many workers during this period as well. It's a terrible time for production mistakes to occur.

But mistakes happen all the time especially with complicated production runs.

Hopefully they sort it out asap but now people can stop whinging at the club because clearly it's out of their hands.

That pink tinge was pretty obvious on Friday night but I suspect it's not going to be an easy one to fix because of our colours. A few people noticed that the red tops worn at the AGM looked the correct red colour in actuality but on the tv monitors around the room they looked pinkish. For years I've been saying that VFL club Port Melbourne's red and blue stripes look pink and blue in distance shots on screens.

even adelaides red on blue combo looked good, this day and age surely it cant be that hard, last years red looked red-er!!

Guys I feel sorry for NB, having dealt with the ancient culture of the Chinese in getting product I have some sympathy for them.

The culture is to never admit you have made an error as that is a massive loss of face!

From my dealings, when an error occurs they ignore all discussion on the subject in the hope it will go away.

Usually the only way of getting the problem solved is to ask for the production be done in a different colour ( i.e. the orginal request )

and next time they get it right.

90% of the time you wear the error, the only exception is if you have very long relationships with the supplier and know the people at the very top.

The result it may take a while before we see the right colour red!

Unfortunately, they do that a lot.

I'm not saying that they shouldn't know what fans think, I'm saying it's arguable that fans think.

Call me mental if you wish, but surely it would be in the clubs better interest to wear the original run of merchandise jumpers with the AFL numbers we all get pressed on our bought jumpers? At least the colour will be the "RED" we as a club stand for. Granted it is no the same material the official jumpers are made from, but if it is a choice of wearing the correct colour or wearing the correct fabric but wrong colour, Surely its a "no brainer"?

Absolutely.

Having pouches for GPS devices to enable the performance testing of players is regarded as proper preparation these days. Keeping up with the Jones's is a necessity and far more significant than looking good in the mirror during a Clayton's Cup.

In reality though it would take someone all of an hour to cut some pouches out of fabric and sow them inside the jumpers using a high strength red thread you could get from any lincraft store. To me there just seems to be solutions (and easy ones at that) that could see us through to Round 1. Seems that after the calling to arms and general brilliant work of the club to identify our past identity and what we stand for as a club, playing in pink (NAB cup or not) is a step back when the problem could easily be minimised with a little lateral thinking and some red thread. We all agree that the pink is embarrassing and although it is somewhat out of the clubs control, A short-term fix is well within our control IMO

Agree 100% regarding rd 1 being the ultimate goal.I just feel that although it is only the nab cup, Surely modifying the retail jumpers would not only be a temporary solution but would also future-proof us in the event (god forbid) that the real jumpers don't arrive on time. At least this way we have assumed control of something that in essence was out of our control. We are talking about our club colours here which I regard as the most historic and fundamental piece of our great clubs rich tradition. It may seem a small issue being pre-season but although we all pretend the NAB cup means nothing, in reality a strong showing this year can only help media/public profile, Memberships and all round buzz about the Demons. I feel like a solution is simple and the statement and sentiment is vital. Let's play in the "RED" and blue because we can and should. If the NAB cup is so important than it just reinforces my point about wearing the 'playing' tops with the off-colour than the 'fans' tops with the right colour.

I don't know if wearing those guernseys with the proper (and not knitted after the fact by Grandma Connolly) pouches will be 'The Difference' but are we not striving for the 1% that make up all the difference?

I can put up with the pink for a few more weeks yet.

Has the 'red' of the demonland forum template been updated to replicate the current 'red' of the demons jumper?

Or is it the other way around?

The 2 are almost identical!!!
