Breaking Demonland News

Now that I have your attention I just want to remind everyone to play nice with eachother and respect differing points of view or suffer the consequences.

In the past few days we have had to warn and ban posters for constant bickering, belligerence to other posters including sniping and arguing for the sake of arguing with, belittling and provoking others and with having multiple accounts (see code of conduct).

Let this be a warning to everyone that this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated. We are taking a no tolerance policy towards people provoking others just to get a rise out of them. If you are going to argue and play the man and not the ball, you will be banned (perhaps without warning in extreme cases).

We have no problem with people disagreeing or having different points of view but there's no reason to respond disrespectfully by resorting to name calling, sniping and provoking. This will only get you and your other nom de plumes banned. If you think you can then sign up with another account and resort to the same type of behaviour you will be found out and your IP address(es) will be banned too making it harder for you to post.

We all support the same club and want to encourage supporters - particularly young people - to post about the club. They should be able to do this without constant intimidation and bad will.

If you need to be reminded of our Code of Coduct - click here.

There are exciting times ahead for the Melbourne Football Club and it would be a shame if you were not able to join in the discussions on Demonland.

Excellent post :)

I was getting really tired of the bickering here and had stopped posting because of it.

Wow, the very reason I left Demonology.... Oh, the irony...

Possibly not a coincidence that the exodus has happened at the same time as increased angst on 'land? Perhaps?

Good work 'land mods... Although I will say that you're not a 'land poster until you've been passive-aggressively patronised by Rhino, PMed by jayceebee, or flat out made to feel like you're mentally deficient by Hannabal.

The arguments happen here... and I hope they always do... but likewise I hope the mods don't get too heavy handed.

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
