I missed most of the last qtr of the early games and I couldnt believe they lost or that the bears came back.

Crazy day all up, Dolphins smacked the Bills badly.

So I had the chance to watch the first qtr and a few mins of the second, absolutely loving life 21-0. Hit pause on Kayo and had some work to do, came bac to find it 28-20.... eeeeekkkkkk

The last 12 mins in the last were great on both Offense and D and what a great idea to get a kicker who hits PAT's!!!

Long live the Thicker Kicker!!!!

ps what a nickname!

Beaten by a much better team today, in all facets of the game.

Massively outcoached and for the first time probably ever I'm not criticising Shanahan first. This was Robert Saleh's worst game since coming back. For whatever reason we couldn't get our guys lined up against their formation and proceeded to get shredded by some TEs I've never even heard of.

So often our defense has kept us in games when our offense has faltered, we simply don't have that luxury anymore.

Kyle doesn't escape though. All year he's been running CMC off tackle and outside zone stuff, it isn't working. He hardly ever runs him inside zone anymore, utilising holes etc. Btw that outside zone he called on the 4th and 1 was a disgrace.

I had a bad feeling on the first drive when LA were just slicing us up the middle running. Stafford was incredible and looked like he was playing flag football, I must say Mac Jones played a his heart out too. We stink

Rodgers had an absolute shocker against the Chargers ... so much so that coach Tomlin threw him under the bus (that's my interpretation at least)

And the Bills inexplicably losing at Miami opens the door for the Pats in the AFC East (who had a big win at Tampa)

Pats 8 & 2 ... Bills 6 & 3

I think since we lost to you a few weeks ago and the Nacua injury (then to a lesser extent Atwells injury) we were semi forced into playing 13 personnel and we have thrived. Our inside run (mcVay rarely calls a lot of outside run) has gone way up which means boxes then get loaded leaving Nacua and Adams with more space and less bodies.

Mac Jones has been great and he will get a starting position on another team, and will do well if they coach the same sort of scheme. With all the injuries on O and to still produce those games has been tbh a shock.
CMC I don't think would have faired much better inside, we were tighter on the inside than normal early and I don't think wanted him coming downhill.
Bit harsh on Saleh, we are on fire at the min and you are so banged up he doesnt have much flexibility.

He sure did, Some of throws looked like panic throws. I reckon Steelers need to trade or draft a QB, I wouldnt run with him next season.

Bills looked so awful, tbh I don't think the dolphins were amazing, Tua still turned it over a few times but the run game sliced the Bills and they missed tackles and I honestly think that was Allens worst game ever.

Giants fired Daboll.

I sort of feel bad for him, QB gets concussion whilst they led then they loose, Skatter got injured a few weeks ago and they have managed to get their run game going again, I think the Giants finally started to get going.

It looked like it and when he was getting results early running up the middle why stop? Things clicked very early on for the Rams and Stafford played an MVP caliber game. Stafford is the reason why you pay QBs $50 million plus a year and currently Purdy is not (even though we still needed to). There is a part of me that wants Mac Jones on this team as the starter. Purdy is better all round with movement and evasiveness but as far as passing from the pocket and drop backs goes I reckon Mac has him covered. With a terrible line, identity-less running game and receivers injured every two minutes he has done an amazing job.

I have to respectfully disagree Gorg. Saleh has done an amazing job this year despite injuries and I love the guy but this was a forget game on the sideline for him. There were at least 3 occasions where the guys looked like they didn't know where to line up like we'd never seen 3 TEs on the field before. Lastly having 2nd year safety Malik Mustupha who's just come back from ACL issues go 1v1 with Devante Adams was the pinnacle of this garbage. That TD that put you up 28-14 in the 3rd quarter when we opened the half with a score, you just can't have that.

He's had some amazing games this year, even in some losses. However he was really off with his approach in this one and he would know he can do better. Yes we're missing a lot on that side of the ball but that could have been helped even just a little if the front office made a single trade by the deadline. Anything! Even getting someone like Arden Key back to help with pass-rush could have had a flow on effect.

Adams match up wasnt ideal, but tbh, most match ups with Adams aren't great. And if you swap then Puka has the other and mos are more worried about Puka.

I agree on Purdy vs Jones. Tbh if you had the WR's back, I wonder how much better Jones would be playing.
I think they bring Purdy back, but tbh I would have preffered Purdy than Jones in our games.

One thing about Tomlin is you get brutal honesty and always know where you stand.

I still don't think Rodgers has the right receivers, that's just the eyeball assessment though.

Agree, Rodgers needs a big receiver (like Adams) who can go and get the slightly high throws he does under pressure.

That is true, there aren't many good matchups for Adams and very few in our secondary right now.

Puka is so effective and this probably wasn't even one of his good games. Did you see the photo of him mocking our 'boombox' entrance? I didn't know we were still doing that since Deebo left haha.

I think we have a full on QB controversy even though the money will say to play Brock and probably rightfully so. Mac looks so sure of himself in the pocket and I love how he gets it out quickly. There's few things better than a QB who can stand in the pocket and throw darts. Maybe a dual threat QB who can..

I really wanted to see them together just once more in a good setup.

And that's exactly right. It sounds like Aaron overthrew quite a few balls in this game.

Nah I havent seen that pic.
I think Puka still isnt 100% and also during his time out we went 13 personnel so the TE's are getting more love and Also Stafford and Adams got more chemistry so we arent so reliant on him.

The next 3-5 weeks at QB will be very interesting for the niners.

Well these TEs did a great job in this one. I think the Rams are the best bet to make a run from the West, D-line is very good and gets to the QB. Not sold on Seattle yet.

Yep, get the popcorn ready.

Funny thing is both Rams and Seattle are running 13 most often, so we have them in LA this week.
I think we need this win more than them being our home game, but we have a hard run in from here.

Packers go quick for a 3rd and 1 as do the eagles in the first 7 mins of the game, both offensive teams false start, neither called.

Interesting lot of games this week with a few teams in must-win mode (notably the Packers, Ravens, 49ers, KC and a few others

Time to get a bit creative for the backpackers, punting for the maximum, to gain ground
