And just a refresher on who follows who on this thread

Bears - DeeSpencer, Dee Zephyr

Packers - Macca

Jags - Clintosaurus

J.E.T.S - Dr. Gonzo

Dallas - BDA, ElDiablo14

Eagles - Dappa Dan

49ers - DemonDave, Go the BIff, titan_uranus, layzie

Atlanta - JV7

Rams - Gorgoroth

Cool to have a Packers fan on hereโ€”have mentioned in other threads but I grew up in Wisconsin and my family has had Packers season tickets since the Lombardi years.

Yes, it's that time of year again! The NFL kicks off next Friday 10am with Dallas @ Eagles. Tipping comp should be a goer again ... 3 road winners with 3 picks gets you 3 points (2 from 3 gains 1 point) So far, 8 participants

Bonus point weeks (Double Points)- Weeks 2, 5, 9, 13, 17 & 18

And if you are the sole winner in any given week you gain a bonus point

And a shout-out to anyone that wants to participate in the comp ... just post up your 3 road winners and away you go. Easy as pie

Welcome to the thread!

Feel free to join in on the comp if you are so inclined. It's not all that time-consuming coming up with 3 road winners, but nevertheless, it's not easy either!

So how many of the 8 favoured divisional winners will actually win their division?

It rarely goes the predicted way with 2, 3 or even 4 favoured teams not winning their respective divisions by seasons end

Here are the current favourites as per the Vegas odds

NFC North - Packers marginally over the Lions

NFC West - 49ers then Rams

NFC Sth - Tampa then Atlanta

NFC East - Eagles then Washington

AFC North - Ravens then Bengals

AFC West - Chiefs then Denver

AFC Sth - Houston then Jags

AFC East - Bills then a big gap to the Pats

The Falcons, Bengals, Jags, Rams and definitely the Lions would all be in the running

And if Rodgers clicks at the Steelers, they could feature (last season 10 & 7)

Fantastic Disco! Never been to Wisconsin but it looks like a beautiful part of the country.

My dad went to Madison as part of an 'Architectural' trip around the states about 15 years ago, some stunning buildings there.

What is your apparatus out of curiosity?

The picture in my head is one Excel file with a sheet tab for every year and the tabs are starting to go off the screen ๐Ÿ™‚

Ha! Issue has been fixed as BDA's posts have magically reappeared!

WTF was Carter thinking????

I hope the league bans him for another 3 matches. Disgusting.

Unbelievable.

Dog act

could have won that game

cd lamb dropped 2 (tough) catches on the last drive and that's the game.

Eagles Oline did a good job in the first half to give hurts time to extend plays. i don't think he would have got that time if Parsons was there.

oh well

The Cowboys might have won the game with an ounce of luck their way. Apparently CD Lamb dropped 5 catches all-up ... most were quite difficult though

Parsons would have helped no doubt but I thought your secondary was tight all game.

I also think Carter being ejected negates Parsons not being there.

Lamb would normally take that first catch, as hard as it was, he is a great receiver, the second one was tough.

Fair

Carter completely lost the head. Ridiculous thing to do.

Jalen Hurts running ability is immense. The difference between the 2 sides as he gained a lot of yards in the red zone

I couldnโ€™t believe they didnโ€™t spy Hurts in the last qtr on that third down.

Cris Collinsworth was calling on Prescott to run with the ball to break things up (or change things up) 1 carry for 3 yards was all we saw

Anyway, we get a game from Brazil tomorrow morning 10.00am (Chiefs/Chargers) ... I'm tipping a close one!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
