Sean Payton traded to the Broncos. Wonder if he can fix them, I hope not. I like the broncos but he is a [censored] and I hope he fails spectacularly.

Does this mean Wilson is fixed now? 😝

Tbh Sean will be good for Russ. Broncos on paper are not as bad as their record this year.

Agree, think he's likely going to be a good fit. I'm of with you though, not that keen to see him succeed.

Is there a Super Bowl coin toss curse? Teams who won the coin toss but lost the game:

2021 Bengals

2020 Chiefs

2019 49ers

2018 Rams

2017 Patriots

2016 Falcons

2015 Panthers

2014 Seahawks

I don't mind Payton but I don't like the Broncos and I hate Russell Wilson so I hope he fails spectacularly too.

Meanwhile Nathanial Hackett to the Jets, will Rodgers be joining him? Will make things interesting at One Jets Drive next year if that's the case

True, but could be injuries.

The only thing I saw were players unloading weights and then a bit of tag football

I see. I really can't be bothered with these All Star events where you sit there watching them do things you'd see at a Primary school sports day. A few people I know love the NBA All Star weekend but the 3 shooting contests and mini games boring.

I know I'll forget over the weekend, so here goes:

Kansas 24 Philadelphia 34

I've got the day off so will head into a pub somewhere in town.
Bit flat after the Niners fell one game short, but still should be a good contest.

Me too mate. Went from consuming every bit of NFL media to not wanting to know about anything this week but I've got the day off and will be at the Sporting Globe to watch. As a pure football game all signs point to it being a cracker.

Eagles 24 - Chiefs 21

Edited by JV7

Eagles the best team but chiefs have the best QB. Very close one to call. Reckon a late field goal could decide it.

Those who think Jalen Hurts should’ve been MVP take heart: the last MVP to win a SB was 1999, when Kurt Warner did it with the St. Louis Rams. Since then, nine MVPs have led their team to the Super Bowl and were defeated each time.

So if Eagles win the toss then one of the curses will be broken, if the chiefs lose the toss then they may just be cooked before the kick off  😄

Chiefs 1-6

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
