Thought Aaron (once again) had a great year, until of course he fractured his leg. We were lucky it was towards the end of the season. This shouldn't affect his pre-season right??

I expect we'll see Davey get better and better with age, as the kids start to attract the most attention from the opposition, and he has more freedom to use his scalpel-like kicking precision.

I think he's criminally underappreciated by AFL supporters in general, but it won't be long before he gets the recognition he deserves.

Having had to learn how to deal with tags these last few years will only help him.

I'd also like to see him made vice captain.

I expect Flash to make a big and bold go at the club captaincy. I believe he's very popular with the playing group and has developed the necessary leadership attributes to make it!

When he's on song, Flash is probably our classiest player, and he was 'on song' quite often during 2010. He can still get 'sucked in' by a hard tag, but I think he's getting better at overcoming this weakness in his game, or at least it seems to happen less often these days. I like E25's comment about the potential for Aaron to shine even more as our youngsters develop, and take some of the attention away from him. I hadn't thought of it in this context before, but I reckon there's a fair chance that this is the way it will pan out. I hope so anyway!

E25 you are in some rare form, Your posts of late have been right on the money. I find myself agreeing more often than not.

Aaron got frustrated too often with the hard tag and gave away too many silly frees. I think that would be the only reason stopping him from becoming captain.

But when he's having a good day, there's no-one I enjoy watching more - his precision kicking is just...wow.

W/jack, E25 and others are right about Leadership for Davey. As the most senior indigenous player on our team the right choice would most likely be Vice Captain as he would already be considered a leader by the younger indigenous playing group and certainly looked to for guidance.

I think maybe in Victoria he is not recognised as a outstanding talent, but back home in SA he is considered as one of the best exports this decade, certainly up there with likes of Didak, Pavlich and Gibbs.
