its funny...people say they dont want him, but i agree with you

when i mentioned mckinley on here 2 weeks ago, i got laughed at. His starts 08-09 were good, but Kennedy's trade meant he was squeezed out competing with him, Le Cras, Lynch. They all can't be in same forward line.

But i said it and threw it up because i know that the club are interested. bate has re-signed, so it won't be for trading him

If we must, give me the 'Q' ball for a 2 year stint, whilst Watts & the New boy? find their feet.

I'm not really saying we should chase him, as people have said, we have a few of his type already.

Just saying he's a good prospect.

Which of the following players is McKinley better than?

- Green

- Petterd

- Dunn

- Bate

These are the current players who he would be competing for a spot with. There's only room for three of these players in the forward line (with Watts, Jurrah and one of Wonaeamirri or Bennell occupying the other three). By my reckoning McKinley would be fifth in line - fourth if you want to be extremely generous towards him and extremely harsh towards Bate. Not to mention other players that will rotate through there such as Sylvia.

Not needed IMO.

BUT, he is only 185cm & 85kg. Looks can be decieving or his specs need updating. He is not really what we are looking for if they are true.

Jesse White is more suited to what we are looking for.

Plain and simple, he's not a very good footballer. He's a 'medium-sized leading forward', in the mould of Green, Pettard and Dunn so doesn't fill a need.

That's fine. I'm simply saying he will be looked at, because he is strong overhead. He is no "big" KPF if that is what you are after.

Mind you, in a side that has struggled over the last 2-3 seasons and with it's delivery up forward. McKinley's return of ~ 2.0 goals a game is above average. With better delivery and maturity who knows. The returns might be much better.

Fwiw, I find it amusing that some seem to be set on a massive gorilla presence up foward. We did draft a 196 cm at No.1 two years ago who will fill out. We also have Jurrah who can leap tall buildings in a single bound. On the odd occassion we can send Jamar down there.

Btw, Green won't be available forever.

He lacks the work rate required and he is a deadset downhill skier who is suspect below his knees.
