did you see in the other article "dees in a good place" they say and i quote "WHILE Matthew Warnock and James Frawley continue to be the headline act of Melbourne’s backline, Colin Garland goes quietly about his business playing a vital role in the Demons settled defensive half." anyone see anything wrong with this?

I did notice that one. Interesting take on things from a journo who isn't paying attention.

I am once again astonished by the comment on Aussie. "...didn’t have a great influence on the game." WTF? In a tight game like that his tackling in the last few minutes was pivotal. I would have thought the coaching staff would be singing his praises.

How good was that tackle on our half forward line. He is a meat axe.

IMO - all of Jurrah, Wonna & Bennell struggled for influence, especially in the 2nd half. Bennell & Wonna did continue to apply pressure and tackle though where Jurrah did not.

Probably because the second half it was wet, really wet for patches and our disposal was terrible, but understandable given the conditions. It was way worse in person than it looked on tv. Hard to have an influence when you lead one way and the ball goes 20m the other. Jurrah was chasing, but was coming from a long, long way away a lot of the time.

Our forward set up got lost a lot in the second half. I looked down and few times and we would have 2 players in the forward line and they were weird combos like Dunn and Jones.... WTF?

I found this strange as well. I was also mystified at 3/4 time when I looked over at the groups, and Jones seemed to be in the forwards group. I'm sure there was a plan there, but I'll be jiggered if I know what it was.
