Didak out is huge. He usually creates problems. Though Dick is his inclusion, and he's played at least one great game against us.

This is our GF this year!

Go demons!!

He actually played on Saturday in the VFL... So that probably plays in our favour as the game drags on. Though Dick probably only played 3/4 or a half.

Getting smashed. 2 goals to the pies already in the first 3 minutes. This has a smell of Geelong about it.

4 times inside 50 to nil. 13 touches to 3.

Oh dear.

In a matter of minutes i) Watts fell over, ii) three Demon defenders went up & spoiled each other, iii) Bate played on & got caught from behind, i) Bruce kicked out on the full. We are looking stupid!

Oooh that Cloke mark hurts. 3 seconds left in the quarter. Lucky he missed.

Make no mistake... we're getting smashed here. Scoreboard flattering us hugely.

Qtr time 12 points down, very lucky. If we play better we may do ok.

Rivers not good enough to play on key forwards.

Trengrove trying hard.

Jones Trying hard.

Davey playing on at all costs.

No fwd structure at this stage.

Dunn looks lost up the ground. Should he be closer to goal??????

Agreed. We were as bad as we were in the first quarter last week, possibly worse. The only difference is that Collingwood missed a few easy ones.

Well that's good, because we were OK after the first quarter last week.

Watts once again strolling and getting tackled for holding the ball. He gets the ball, but then he underestimates the opponents. Needs a bit more aggression. It'll come.

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
