Should we be further ahead? Or are they just playing well to match us?

Posted (edited)

A quarter of two halves.

We were great in the first half of that quarter, and rubbish in the second.

I get the sentiments of playing Aussie, but gees if he isn't able to chase, he should have stayed home.

Jack Watts has had a hand in every single goal tonight, or close to it. Standout forward on the ground IMO.

McKenzie being done for holding the ball... OMFG. I nearly threw something at the TV.

And if somebody doesn't smash Chad Cornes' head into the turf tonight, I'll be disappointed. The guy is a piece of shite.

Why is that?

I cant remember ever giving advice before, so what do do base your comment on, given theres no precedent?

..Or are you just poopy cause you got excited, made a dumb brash comment and I called you out? demon_wink.gif

Ugh!

It got nothing to do with precedent. Well done.

Miller with 3 to half time is a good effort.

Even you could work that out....Well maybe.

Watts, Miller and Green = a forward line and lo and behold? We're playing better.

nah made most of our chances up forwad but our turnovers through to overuse have cost us at least 3 goals

If we do not stop doing stupid mistakes in the backline we will win this game.

When we got 30 up we should have at least took some of the sting out of the game for 5 mins.

That desicion against Jordie was a disgrace and if McLaren got dropped for his few mistakes that umpire should be skinned and salted.

Watts has looked very good tonight.

Grimes needs to learn to not over commit, twice he has been made to look foolish and it has cost us two goals.

agree on wona he is at least 4-6 weeks away from being ready bit of a sentimental selection imho

Holy moly . . . Austin Wonaeamirri has been not-so-good tonight. He needs to get his body right if he's going to be an AFL player. Jetta, Jurrah, Watts, Bennell, Green, Petterd with the backline we've got and the mids we're building. Look out.

Posted

Darwin or not, Wona should not be in the team, he is weeks away from AFL fitness.

Gotta get going down the corridoor again. if we get 5 goals up again, just back off for a bit, keep possession.

Yep wona has looked pretty off the pace, no real second effort tonight.

Not the sort of conditions to be carrying a player in either.

If he only gets 5 possessions he needs to kick or have a hand in 3 goals to even break even.

Nev Jetta is playing a great game. His tackling is incredible. He is tough and making great decisions. Can really play.

BOG so far.

Bruces disposal has been terrible also :)

What game are you watching?

Jack Watts>Nick Naitanui.

Jack Watts + 100 games >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> That guy with the dreads who played a few games for the Eagles.

This Wannaemerri selection could really come back to bite us. We are basically a player down.

Ive had a gut full of umpires ruining my football experience.

Miller and watts deep forward was working so why is miller now roaming the half back line Bailey????

Posted

wona moving like a turtle looks like he ate a kilo b4 the game

Sorry to say, he is the weak link at the moment, and he shouldn't have played, only two games at Casey Seniors, your kidding! But there is a 1/2 to go, Prove us wrong Aussie!!!

He, Davey and Bennell are loving it out there, you can just tell. They are like kids in a candy shop.

I've actually been impressed with our three big forwards tonight, for their ability to adapt to the conditions. Jack Watts is so ridiculously agile, which is why he went at pick 1. Does things that midfielders struggle to do, and is really really good at keeping his feet and bouncing straight back up.

Sylvia has been good, thank god. I'm not so sure about him rucking, but it's entertaining to watch. At least they have given him so much responsibility today, he has no choice but to pull his head out of his behind and get going. He owes us one after 3 terrible weeks.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
