That thing you put in bold was supposed to be sarcastic. I don't know why you'd take offence to one of the only people defending you in this thread.

When people make sarcastic comments usually you would put lol at the end.

I just dont myself tell people that they are on drugs thats defimation of caricture

Okay then. Those comments you put in bold were totally serious lol and you should be really offended lol at him defamating your caricture lol.

P.S. In case you can't tell, I was being sarcastic.

geez mate I don't know how I could have layered on the sarcasm much thicker than that

sorry for defecating on your caricature

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

top 4.....thats the best i have heard....and i thought i was a positive person...

its great u think like that mate...but seriously...lets not get carried away remember we still lost....

But yeah, back to the point - anything is possible.

Try shoving a couch up your nose.

I'll say this. Having watched last night's game, we're definitely better than both those teams right now (Carltank & Bombers).

Next week will be telling (we'll certainly start favourites).

(and genuinely, I went today believing we'd win)

Realistically though, we will have some downers but we've got plenty ahead to celebrate and anticipate.

Yes i thought the same last night that we are better than those two teams. We have a lot to look forward to.

Nearly lost my voice in the last half today though.

Go Dees

After two rounds I would have said definite no.

After three rounds I would have to say a most definite no.

But we are sure better than last year.

We can't finish top 4 without suitable replacements for Travis Johnstone and Broke McLean, which we clearly do not have.

Travis Johnstone - Jack Grimes if he is moved to the midfield, if not, Jack Trengove

Brock McLean - Tom Scully

Think before you post.

I think he was clearly taking the [censored].

Unlike some of the negative posters in the forum, i backed melbourne to win by more than 40 points at 14:1 because i believe in their ability and determination.

What a fantastic game. If they keep playing with this intensity and exciting game plan they could finish top 4. 12 goalkickers very impressive.

Go Dees.

Let's just make sure we beat the Froot Loops next sunday first shall we... B)

YEP- Just hope ther players are not getting as carried away as some posters here

Top 4? Demons, certainties for 2010 flag!!I'm putting my house on it.

So long as it's not my house, that's fine. Maybe Fev would like to go halves?

Measure expectations. There's no way we'll make the top 4. We're a young side and no matter what we do, parting of our learning will involve ups and downs. All we can ask of them is to be as consistent as possible and maintain realistic goals. I sense that Bailey will be the perfect coach to quell any big heads.

Melbourne is $2.60 to finish in the 8. The bookies are starting to take notice.

Go Dees

There was a time during the current Melbourne cycle that goes back to before the premiership when the club was the toughest to beat in the fourth quarter. The Demons were not only hard to beat at any time but it was virtually impossible to get the better them when scores were close at three quarter time. It was only three or four years ago but they were fit, strong and resilient in body and mind. Sadly, those days are over. This has been the case since the club fell off its pedestal about 12 months ago after it beat Geelong and then lost to Carlton. In both instances, Melbourne put together strong, stirring final quarters, one that resulted in victory, the other, in defeat. Since then, the drop off has been dramatic to the point where it can neither pull off victory in close matches, nor can it even go down in defeat  gallantly.

  • CASEY: Footscray

At twenty-four minutes into the third term of the game between the Casey Demons and Footscray VFL at Whitten Oval, the visitors were coasting. They were winning all over the ground, had the ascendancy in the ruck battles and held a 26 point lead on a day perfect for football. What could go wrong? Everything. The Bulldogs moved into overdrive in the last five minutes of the term and booted three straight goals to reduce the margin to a highly retrievable eight points at the last break. Bouyed by that effort, their confidence was on a high level during the interval and they ran all over the despondent Demons and kicked another five goals to lead by a comfortable margin of four goals deep into the final term before Paddy Cross kicked a couple of too late goals for a despondent Casey. A testament to their lack of pressure in the latter stages of the game was the fact that Footscray’s last ten scoring shots were nine goals and one rushed behind. Things might have been different for the Demons who went into the game after last week’s bye with 12 AFL listed players. Blake Howes was held over for the AFL game but two others, Jack Billings and Taj Woewodin (not officially listed as injured) were also missing and they could have been handy at the end. Another mystery of the current VFL system.

  • PREGAME: Brisbane

The Demons head back out on the road in Round 10 when they travel to Queensland to take on the reigning Premiers and the top of the table Lions who look very formidable. Can the Dees cause a massive upset? Who comes in and who goes out?

Wayward kicking for goal, dump kicks inside 50 and some baffling umpiring all contributed to the Dees not getting out to an an early lead that may have impacted the result. At the end of the day the Demons were just not good enough and let the Hawks run away with their first win against the Demons in 7 years.
