Dangerfield

What are the chances of the dees getting in his ear and trying to lure him back to Vic with a big offer. Would love for us to aggresively chase a player like Dangerfield in the trade period.

Pick 16 or whatever it is we end up with and Daniel Bell would be a good win for us IMO, they got Scotty Thompson off us in what would have been similar circumstances.

Any other young guns we could be targetting that would slot into our top 22 and fill an immediate gap? I realize this is highly unlikely but imagine getting picks 1 and 2 and someone ready made like Dangerfield.

Cant see them wanting Daniel Bell and pick 16 for Dangerfield

Unless the alternative was losing him for nothing in the pre-season draft.

Can't see a professional club like Adelaide letting a quality kid like Dangerfield go but I'd like to think he's exactly the kind of player we'd have a crack at - even if it was a long shot!

I doubt Bell will go anywhere. Actually, I doubt they'll let Dangerfield go either if the mail is to be believed.

That said, I'd be pumped if he came to us. Has star written all over him.

The eagles didn't want to do the Judd deal either but had no choice. The draft pick and Bell offer was just an example. The point is that snaring a young ready made (and let's be honest the go home factor is as good a reason as any to identify a potential trade target) could potentially put the whole rebuild process for us forward a year.

Why would Dangerfield want to leave Adelaide for a club like Melbourne?

Adelaide have the best facilities in the country, probably the most financialy secure club as well. They've also got a talented list with great kids and they play finals year after year.

I suppose Melbourne have powerpoint presentations...

If we had pick 1 and 2 . I would give pick 2 for him.

But we wont have either of those picks.

Adelaide used a first round draft pick to get him.

He's proving himself to be everything you'd want from a first round draft pick.

Why would they give him up for a first round draft pick?

Would never happen.

Mind you, Dangerfield and Meesen went to school together, although Meese is a couple of years older...

ok, vague meaningless connection, i know..

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
