The best thing about today

i was [censored] my self knowing us i new the game was never over.

HOW GOOD DOES IT FEEL !!!

for me messen had one of the best games I have seen by a mfc ruck man, but I was sitting a lot further away then usual. Great to see, our hardness at the ball all over the park was excellent - you could have been excused to think that it was the dees in the medias sights all week.

Just waiting for the replay on fox ATM

15 disposals, 12 hitouts, 5 marks and 3 Frees For....

Did some really nice things around the ground... His handball on the 50m in the last qtr was a ripper...

Looks like he could prove a helluva lot of people wrong :P

The best thing about today was that we were mentally strong for 4 quarters (apart from losing legs at the end). Bailey primed the boys well for this game. As well as being a confidence booster to the younger players it is evident that we have a coach who the players are beginning to respond to out on the park.

Another added bonus with today's win is that (by our recent standards) it is reasonably early in the season so this will do our membership tally no harm at all.

When the tigers number 39 (have no idea who the squib is) wussed the contest and for the next 5 mins Rivers absolutely gave it to him and really told him how weak he was.

GOLD!!!!!

Well done Rivs!

39 tiges is one Daniel Connor. A very young lad playing his 9th game. Does Rivers no credit at all. Be different if it was a, say, 75 game plus player.

Hope Rivers is one of the 1st to defend Cale Morton next time he is intimidated physically. He had a chance last week with Lade.

Just bully stuff.

What at load of rubbish.

If an opposition player squibs a contest (and Connor) then I expect an MFC to let him know about regardless of whether it was his first game or his 300th game. It was crap effort and if it was an MFC footballer I'd be disgusted.

Morton got under Lade's skin. Nothing to gain by carrying on.

Winning is a beautiful thing mate. Amazing when that siren went I was standing on my chair going mental. Great win

Sorry Mono, Its the player's responsibility to let the opposition rookie know that he doesn't belong out there, the pressure's too great, doesnt have the heart etc. If the opposition rookie lets this worry him too much then indeed he doesn't belong out there.

Its not tiddlywinks, its dog eat dog out there. Its a process of natural selection. The rookie has a choice to go harder at the next contest............. or not.

Rivers may as well have asked, "Well do yoyu really want to play AFL footy buddy?"

The win = 4 pts.......atleast we won't be in the MAIN HEADLINES of the papers tomorrow , for the wrong reason !!!. GO DEES

Has Rivers lost his marking abiltiy ?

My 4 year old came rushing up to me at the end of the game and said "Dad! the dees just one their first game!!" after the last couple of years, I think he thought of all time!! May he see many more

Rivers giving the squib a spray for 5 mins was the best thing today!

But the weirdest thing today was after the match when all the supporters stayed after the game and then the team congregated at the race and stared at each other  . Felt like a long uncomfortable pause because its been awhile between wins so I think no one knew quite how to react. Good though.

GO DEE's

Whats this feeling I'm feeling? OH! its the sweet taste of success. :D

They were waiting for Bennell and Jetta to come over to lead the players. I thought Bennell and Jetta showed a lot of what we can expect in the next couple of years from them - what flair and dash. Remember the feeling we used to have when Aaron first played. Well that feeling was there again today with both Bennell and Jetta.

A win is always the best thing but to see ALL the player sing the club song, this even gave the 3AW jocks shivers. With this sort of gusto wee need to bottle it 4ever!!!

Please Enjoy and turn your speakers up so the neighbours complain!!!

Yeah with Jack going up for the grabs while Jettta and co clean up the spills, all good.

gotta love a win!

Then be disgusted with Cale Morton and the number of contests he squibs, starting with his 1st game last year.

Christ, you can be a wally!

last qtr Martin on the wing won ball out against Reivolt , wasnt anything outstanding , i just thought good play below his knees for the giant, more agile than people think

Best game for the club today. He is going to be a fantastic player!

Confident boys, never drop their heads when things don't go their way. Something others at the club need to learn from.

The turn Jetta did in the last qtr was sublime and showed he has the vision and poise to become a very good player across HF.

And where did you pull that from Hannabal?

Rivers was running back into packs, not one-on-one marking contests like he usually does. A result probably of Richmond kicking in the general vicinity of Richo and their entire forwardline gravitating toward him.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
