Bombers get up by 4pts!

Obviously James Hird's big write up in the HUN didn't do any favours for the arrogant mob at Carlton.

Seems they're starting to believe their own press.

The "Big 4" pfffttt... !!!!

Carlton are long way off being the certainties they would have u believe if they keep serving that crap up.

Great result.

Was actively barracking for Essendon for the first time in my life, and while I feel very dirty and disgusted now, my hatred for all things Carlton just took over.

CJ's stuff up in the goal square was the cherry on top of Carlton's misery cake.

It was rather status quo for him i was not surprised in the least of that monumental blunder.. It will be a while before carlton come they look pretty inexperienced down back

yes, and the commentator even said, "I think Johnson should have a break from the kick-ins"

It's ok - just go and wash your mouth out with soap (I barracked for Collingwood in a match once, and had to do it every day for a week before I felt clean again).

The carltank underbelly's will do anything to get a higher pick in the draft just lets see how they get out of the upcoming news from the west :o

If I were a Carlton fan I would be pretty [censored], they cheated and bought their way to a list and they can't even beat essendon!

suck it so bad to anyone who supports the pack of cheats known as Carlton. can anyone post the CJ goalsquare blunder please. thanks guys.

Cop that CJ you unloyal bastard. Great to see Carltank suffer a heart breaking loss. Carltons theme for season 2009 "They know we`re coming", the theme for the match last night "We know we`re tanking". COP THAT YOU WANKERS.

CARN THE DEES!

Too bad we only play them in Round 21 and it's at the Dome

Yeah, wouldn`t it be great in Round 21 if Chris Johnson plays on Micheal Newton, and Newton kicks 9 on him and Ko`s him. lol

Go Dees

while i dont think much of CJ, and I particularly don't like carlton, and I agree with all the pro-essendon sentiments in this thread (and was very happy that they got up), I must say that describing CJ as 'unloyal' is a tad strange. Considering we delisted him.

He may be an averge player, he may be soft, e may be playing for a bunch of cheaters, but unloyal? Im not sure if we ever tested his loyalty.

We didn`t want to delist him. He wanted to be delisted so he can go to Carlton. So he was being unloyal to us. His Father played for Melbourne. A great player, and he wants to leave. That is a sign of weak character.

We only delisted him because he refused our offer of a contract and sold himself off to Carlton.

However, owed the club nothing and we owe him nothing so there's no need to hold back any criticism of him.

I agree. Johnson never was going to stay at the club, and he deserves a lot of criticisim

I loved Robert Walls comment when asked about the fab four. He was asked do you rate the Carlton fab four up there with the Brisbane midfield of old, or the Geelong midfield. And without hesitation he said no! He went on to explain that this Carlton midfield have done nothing. Nick Stevens has never been a great player in big games that count, so until they actually achieve something, they're not fabulous.

Riicky, did you hear Walls holding back the tears as he said this?

Most biased commentator around. Utterly ridiculous. The entire pre match was based on Carlton, and he hardly mentioned Essendon until about the Third quarter.

he walked out after being told his oppurtunitys would be limited.

Actually he mentioned Essendon a fair bit . . .

Mind you it was all just bagging out Knights:

"When will Fletcher move onto Fevola? He's the veteran defender."

"I really think Essendon could use Ryder in defense now. I'd like to see him go back."

"Lloyd is a full forward so why wouldn't you play him there?"

After last season DB asked him on three occasions if he wanted to play for the Demons and each time he had to defer back to his father!!After the third time DB realised that CJ was the type of player he didnt want at MFC - no passion for the club. (He should have had a talk to Greenie!!)Melbourne tried to talk to him about a contract but he wouldn't talk to them. Maybe his father had a higher regard for his son's ability than DB did. Maybe AJ doesn't have the passion for his former club that other players have. A bit sad but what else would you expect from AJ. So CJ just did not want to be at the club particularly after Carlton told him that MFC had no future etc etc typical Carlton!! CJ is playing for the money just exactly like Judd except CJ hasn't got a job spruiking recycling!

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
