MFC training?

Just wondering if anybody has been down to the latest MFC training session over at Casey Fields? Any chance of seeing if our new recruits are training with the rest of the Demons players yet? Are there any invitees that have gone to MFC training who may be picked up in the Pre-Season Draft or Rookie Draft? I do recall Barry Prendergast the MFC recruiting manager mentioning that they would invite 4 players down to train with us?

Perhaps somebody could also take a few photos of the training session too?

I can't find the location and training times on the MFC website. They all seem to be for November and not December yet. If somebody can find out when the next few training sessions are coming up then I'll try and get down there myself as well.

If I recall correctly, they're due for a break pretty soon due to starting early. Something like 6 weeks in (from mid/late Oct?) then a break? Might still have a chance though. Haven't had a looksee myself yet.

Just called the club - MFC are using Casey Fields on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays starting at 8.30am.

Apparently there for sure tomorrow - I live not far from there so will probably check it out.

Membership calendars are being sent out next week.

I went for a short while on Wednesday.

Just echoing what has already been said, but most of the team seemed to be there. I didn't see Miller or Garland.

Valenti, McDonald, McLean, Rivers, Bruce, Robertson, PJ, Meesen, Blease and possibly one or two others were in the modified group running laps and doing small handpass and kicking drills.

Of the main group they were just doing what you would expect any team to do, kicking and handpass skills mainly.

Players that really impressed and looked really sharp were Buckley, Aussie, Morton and Petterd although it is hard to tell sometimes while watching training especially when they are over the other side of the ground.

Casey Fields looks fantastic and it just reinforced my desire for Melbourne to sign the deal, because of all the times to get access to world-class facilities (not just over summer but also for one session per week during the season) as well as the ability to tap into a rapidly growing market, then this couldn't come soon enough.

He'll be like a new recruit this year. Expecting big things from Petterd, if some of his debut games were anything to go by.

He could easily play on the wing, HFF or even up forward.
