Mousey 47 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Was that at Ferny Grove mousey? I'm just interested because I live up the road! I saw an article in the local rag about him a few months ago talking him up as a possible AFL draftee and I must confess my first instinct was to think, "don't get your hopes up". Shows how wrong I generally am! Yeah mate ferny Grove Falcons. Which i am not sure even exists any more last time i looked it was a big pile of dirt. Not sure if the storms were something to do with it
Spirit of the Demon 256 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 What players would have you suggested we pick as a quick fix? Recycled players? None of the kids in the ND are quick fixes. That's the very point I'm making!
e25 5 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 That's the very point I'm making! Right... so ... you're saying ... because we didn't pick up any recycled players in the draft ... then that means we are tanking ..? You know, a picture of a monkey for your avatar is quite apt...
LooseLou 20 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Saw very good bios by Quigley (BF) where he not only describes upside but downside (his very personal opinion) of potential draftees - not afraid to speak his mind on some highly rated draftees. Be warned it is very long but well worth the read Interesting that I could not find James Strauss on Quigleys list
Bates Mate 4,520 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 The next Dalziell At 183cm, 91kg The next Stuart Dew 91 kgs is a big unit for his height, lets hope it is all muscle

Guest unstable punt Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 No joke. Our drafting was obviously directed more to a long term plan rather than a quick fix. There's no obvious attempt to cover deficiencies in the short term so we won't show much next year. jeebus buddy your a negative prat aren't you
H_T 3,049 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 No joke. Our drafting was obviously directed more to a long term plan rather than a quick fix. Guest Schtacker Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Dean is not stuffing around when he wants us to play run and carry football This kid is a state champion cross country runner Would be a nightmare to play on you'd just be yapping at his heels all day long I love the fact he is singled out for his dedication also - the type of kid that might flourish now given a chance This pick could end up being an absolute beauty I reckon
LooseLou 20 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Link??? Here's the link Bios are as follows: - Blease - Pick 18 Jetta - Pick 36 Bail - Pick 52 Akso has a bio on Sibosado (pick 58) http://forums.demonland.com/index.php?act=...amp;qpid=198323

jabberwocky 2,301 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I have a couple of good photos of bail but i cant upload them, any ideas. I get a message "upload failed etc, contact adminstrators"
LeBron James 41 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Upload to a photo hosting site (imageshack.us, photbucket) and then right click the full image, click properties, and then copy the image location URL. Then put that in between [ IMG][ /IMG] (without the spaces)
jabberwocky 2,301 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Thanks M2W but I couldnt do it. If anyone wants to have a go PM an email address to me and I can email them thru. They are reasonable shots of him playing, one taking a big grab.
tess 19 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 We've started tanking already! You [censored]. You haven't even seen him play.

H_T 3,049 Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Sometimes a picture can tell a thousand words, these photos look impressive from a demon fan point of view. Thanks for the pics M2W. He can leap and take a mark, and Bail looks to be very fit (ie an endurance type player). But thats about it. Nevertheless hopefully he is a 'real find' for the club.
Nasher 33,686 Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 It's hard to tell for sure from those pics, but he looks like he has a body ready for AFL footy. I imagine that so long as he's fit he's a monty for a run in the NAB cup. I'm looking forward to seeing how he goes.
45HG 1,559 Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I think it's more that you can make a picture tell a thousand words. He may have dropped that mark, and I can't figure what's impressive in that second photo. Will be interested to watch this one
Diablo 1 Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I think it's more that you can make a picture tell a thousand words. He may have dropped that mark, and I can't figure what's impressive in that second photo. Will be interested to watch this one I agree, in that people are drawing an extremely long bow if they think that photos give away anything about his footballing ability. He looks fit, and thats about all you can say. You don't need to take the negative side though either 45. God you really are a Spurs fan.
45HG 1,559 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 You agree and yet I'm being negative? Very odd...
jabberwocky 2,301 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 I think the pics are good. It illustrates that the boy has decent athleticism and is able to get off the ground and the second photo shows his physique. That is it. I for one get jack of anyone who has a go at people who provide training reports and post pictures . I appreciate the reports and shots so please ignore the negative individuals and keep posting them. Thanks m2w.

Good for a profile photo in a record or something. You're reading WAYYYYYY too much into it.
