Hawthorn didnt trade away quality young players.

You've got no idea for suggesting it.

What quality young players did I give away?

Bruce is almost 30

Davey is almost 25

Jones is young yes, but has many limitations and is worth trading for a high pick.

So you have no idea really, do you?

Im not sure why anyone thinks ANY team is going to lightly give up a first round pick !! Any trading done this year will involve possibly the exchange of picks most likely in 2nd and third rounds..attached and non attached to players in deals.

TO think anyones going to hand us any more of a benefit is to risk being wrapped in a white jacket and medicated !!

Get your hand off it YM...Can't, won't happen. The draft this year is too good for clubs to be trading away top picks for second rate players. Time to move on, what we have now is what we will have on draft day in terms of top picks

Bate and Pick 19 to Essendon - Pick 5 and 39 to Melbourne

Sylvia and Pick 17 to Richmond - Pick 8 and Pick 42 to Melbourne

Bell and Pick 51 to Adelaide - Brent Reilly to Melbourne

OR

Bell to Port Adel. - Adam Thomson to Melbourne

Sylvia and Frawley to StKilda - Pick 13 to Melbourne (Frawley just signed 2 year contract, but I think we can still trade)

Imagine if Sylvia and Frawley became stars, as they very well could be, and pick 13 turned out to be a Luke Molan. Dangerous trade.

Sylvia is a lazy footballer and needs to play as a team member. And Frawley needs to look at the ball instead of his opponent. He does'nt read the play to well. Is still young but I have serious doubts! In my opinion they hav'nt shown enough for us to keep them. Worth the punt in this draft.

I will take Pick 13 if it was available!

Seriously, why do we want more early picks?

Because this year seems a good draft, especially top 20 odd.

SO why would other clubs give there picks up for trades that are at best a stalemate? answer they wont.

Ok, say you've just explained why Sylvia & Frawley are worthless, which players will you package with them to get us something close to a Top 10?

C'mon YM. You've come this far. Take the next step and tell us who you'll pick up with picks 1, 5, 11, 17, 26 and 35.

Yes, except on the trade of Jones, Jones is a player and plays the game the way I expect younger kids to play it. I would want more than an upgrade for him.

The reason we need lots of quality draft picks this year is because gold coast is comin in next year and get most of the top picks and aswell if a new sydney team comes in the same thing is going to happen. so this is the year for us to get good quality youngsters

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
