Does this mean Watts has officially declared for the Draft?

There is a few good WA prospects that are not attending, like Marsh son of Rod the cricketer and Daniel Murray from east perth. I wonder if it is a plan from the WA clubs so they are off the radar and fall to late picks

I don't know about Murray but young Mitchell Marsh who impressed at the national championships is definitely too young for this year's draft. He's not the son of Rod either but rather Geoff ("Swampy") Marsh. He's the brother of current Aussie one dayer Shaun Marsh.

Might be worth going down to Visy Park tomorrow to see the TAC Cup Under 18 Semi Finals starting with Dandenong Stingrays (Ashley Smith) v Gippsland Power (Nick Heyne) at 11.10am followed by Murray Bushrangers (Kade Klemke, Dylan McNeil, Riley Milne, Tom Rockliff, Steele Sidebottom, Caleb Tiller, Sam Wright and Jack Ziebell) v Oakleigh Chargers (Dan Hannebery, Jordan Lisle, Luke Shuey and James Strauss) at 2.10pm.

A part of me is hoping that we draft Steele Sidebottom; what a name for a footballer!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
