We could have easily gone 0-22 consider the winning margin of our winning games.

Can't stand another season like this...

You are right on the money..I am far from convinced Bailey has brought anything to the table..yesterday was APPALLING

I too went to the Aftermatch, as I always do. Pretty good turn out in the end considering half the crowd left when we were told it would be another hour until players arrived.. No offence to the club as I thought it was a great idea to have a celebration to wrap up the year (and what a year), but pony rides, break dancing lessons and a jumping castle might keep children under 10 occupied for an hour but for the rest of us, the wait was awful, not to mention freeeeeeeeezing.

As for the 'presentation' itself, Brad Miller.. - such a confident speaker. Poor Wonaemirri is so shy and was only made more embarassed when Connelly asked him if he had a girl on the go, and if that's why he was wearing his suit! Thought Grimes spoke well for his first time up.

White, Holland and Yze all said "life goes on". Bailey looked grumpy and disinterested during the interviews from where I was sitting, understandably so after a shocking performance to cap off a shocking year.

Also, I think we should get a replacement for whoever dresses up in the Demon costume. Talk about attention-seeking freak. He sat there on stage during the interviews waving his arms in the air trying to get attention, but was rightfully ignored.

As previously said, it was so good of the players to come, those injured and those who played yesterday. They were probably all itching for a drink, although I'm not entirely convinced that they didn't all go get wasted on Saturday night, based on the performance they gave the following afternoon. ;)

An absolute shamble of a season, achieved nothing from it, sure we saw some kids of the future but what would they take from a season like we had?

the last two weeks were absolutely pathetic and some of those blokes really need to lift there game

as does the coach because l still don't know what the f#%k he's trying to do

Wtf is wrong with this club??? I have followed/member past 50 years & just one disaster after another. I’ve only witnessed 2 periods of sustain somewhat finals success Northey & Daniher with both making GFs. Yet after that fall in a heap!

2008 >  2019

At least in 2008 we had a rubbish list and were expected to finish in the cellar.

we actually had a list stacked with finals experience, which we'd kill for now. only problem was we couldn't get them on the park, and Bailey and co. forced them all into retirement.

I'm almost certain you left out the "e" in between the "c" and the "o" there Praha.

This thread is as sad as me reading 26 pages of the Grand Plan for the Yarra Park Training HQ on a Saturday afternoon. Can we close it? :P

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
