The MFC went Hard for Meeson Last year. Play Him on Saturday against Cox on the G. See where he's at. Give him a challenge. We are already on a hiding to nothing. Draft day is our next big on field assignment.

If Meeson plays well, his next Pre-season will be done with so much more confidence.

We know where he's at - it's not a good place. You don't need to play someone at AFL level to see where he's at - you can do that at the lower level (where he's struggling).

He's being outperformed by Spencer, our rookie. Why does Meesen deserve a gig when Spencer's rucking better than him?

Who was responsible for going so hard for him if he ids not up to it? I haven't had the chance to see him play so i take your word for it on his form.

I know big Guys take longer to Hit their prime but i don't like the sound of this one. Wish Simmonds had stuck around, would have been interesting. We lost a lot of Jeff when the Rules Changed in the Middle

We gave pick 37 for him so we did not go "hard". We needed to supplement our rucks 12 months ago and he was available. Given he was in Adelaide you would have thought Bailey had seen something to work with during that time. But FFS, he has given little of that impression so far. Rogue is right Spencer the rookie to towelling him. The next place for Meesen is Sandy 2nds. Big men if they are any good are a long term proposition. Lucky we have Meesen for 2 more years. :)

I dont want Simmonds either. At 31 he is no interest to me and up to this with injuries I doubt whether Simmonds would have been better value than White.

Agree I doubt Simmonds would have been better value than White.

Whilst we didnt go hard for Meesen at 37. He was a fan of Craig Camerons - who missed out on him courtesy of the Adelaide Crows.

I'm not sure Meesen was a fan of Cameron, was he? ;) I believe it was Cameron that went after him, yes.

:lol: He was deeply admired by Cameron. If we asked C.Cameron, he'd say "I'm a fan of big Johnny!" :lol: Yes it was Cameron that went after him.

    UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

    Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft.     Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock for the final week of training for the 1st to 4th Years until they are joined by the rest of the senior squad for Preseason Training Camp in Mansfield next week.
