Interesting article from the Herald-Sun.

I thought last years trade period was tough, this year is pivotal.

I'd like to retain Green, he's been magic this year and a fine mentor for some of the younger players I'm sure.

Not sure what is going on with the name of the article. Pretty sure the players named play for us however...

It's in the HUN today, Gerard Healy's article entitled 'Barry Plotter'

In the paper it has a team and lists of 'Possibles', 'Teasers' and 'Retired/Delisted', all based on our next premiership tilt, which according to him will be around about 2012.

Jared Rivers is in the 'Teasers', based mainly on injury. So too are Miller and Sylvia. Bruce is in the 'delisted'. Green is on one wing. I can remember Maric, Wonna, Garland, Morton, McLean, Jones, Bartram and maybe Petterd in the team.

The top few comments in the Healy article all seem outraged at the idea Green would be traded, and instead proffer Bruce.

I'm pretty sure most teams would take Green over Bruce, so it's apples and oranges.

I like Green, but I'm sure he has a high trade value, and thus we should evaluate any offers.

the thing is you don't want to get rid of all the experience, don't throw the baby out with the bathwater, we need some leaders on the ground and Green is one of those
