Interesting points by McNamee. Apart from Jono Brown who are some other uncontracted stars at years end? He gives the impression that we will have a serious crack at some uncontracted guns in the near future.

i really like that article... not so much the marquee player side of it, but it shows how mcnamee is working to improve our position...

this channel 7 thing seems interesting, unprecedented access to the changerooms before the game... i assume this will be for tomorrow's game... I'll be at the G, but I might record it at home...

To be honest, he seems like the right CEO for the club. Landing a marquee player is interesting. Seems like he may already be in discussions with someones management to make a public call like that. I do wonder. All i hope, is that this Marquee player does not cost us 1m per year, and is not a player over 25.

I hope we can milke out 20k fans for todays game (i know, I am dreaming), would be a good result if we could. Can't see many freo fans making the trip for this one, so the crowd needs to be a sea of red and blue.

I saw a casually attired and dishevelled McNamee early this morning , about 10 David Neitz drop punts from the courts at Kooyong where he originally made his name , and I hope he'll be wearing a suit and working on his appearance before speaking to a marquee player , 'cos it wasn't a good look .

BTW ,I am always well attired and groomed , even in the early hours .

Marquee player does not need to be coming out of contract. Need to want to move, and club willing to trade.

I would suggest Jono B is not a good choice - very vulnerable to injury.

I'd love to have Pavlich at MFC - he might just be willing given Freo's continuing lack of success.
