Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Appreciate that mate. One thing I would say about Kelly, is that he has seen a successful environment at Geelong as a player and as a coach. Living down here and knowing a few of their staff through my workplace/working in football, they have very clear but different philosophies on how to get the best out of footballers. I would be very happy with him...

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Mark Neeld was a good choice according to Mick Malthouse... Fagan saying Daly is excellent means nothing IMO. Has has been mentioned, think David Noble as well. It's hit and miss.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Quick one - you don't have King on this list. So out of Gia and Montgomery for the 6th spot if we take a combo of Dannyz and news stories...? Well done though :)

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Doesn't bode well then for the supposed 'leaks' if Dannyz finds out

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
How do you know that this is the 6?

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Appreciate this then. I am not sold on Skipwroth but would be happy with any of Buckley, Enright, Lade or Kelly. Not sure about Daly either - reeks of David Noble.

Bit would have to go wrong as in - he's gone?

2025 22Under22 Squad
No Dees in that speaks volumes about our over estimation of the list and supposed 'young talent' when we have bang average players like JVR, Jefferson, Adams, Woewodin, Howes....all taken in those 21/22 drafts that you're seeing players. Windsor might end up ok, jury out on Kolt. Langford and Lindsay too early to tell. Hoyney spoke about this last night on SEN re champion data ratings - we only have Gawn, Trac, Oliver, Rivers in the top 100 in comp. Premiership sides normally have 8,9, or 10.

Brad Green and the current board
And yet my criticism of Green on this forum has often been hosed down. I loved Greeny as a player, and I love the fact that he has wanted to help out the club he loves just as much as us, but he has been a significant problem this year, and continues to be

Brad Green and the current board
Not sure why there is so much Caro hate on this forum. She is, unusually(!), most often right and has an incredible network of connections within the industry she has developed over a long period of time. FWIW, a lot of her friends are Melbourne supporters and people well-connected to the club. Is it her fault if people are leaking to her/other journos? I'd be looking within more and asking why this sort of information gets out so easily. I think her reporting is always balanced and she has hit the nail on the head here: why have we not an update from the Board/Green about the Presidency?? There should be instant change, and I am worried that perhaps Smith has re-negged and happy to be on the Board but doesn't want the top gig. Green has displayed his incompetency (and yes, thanks for stepping in etc.) from his weak and pathetic open letters throughout the year.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Carlton will not move on Voss this season - despite the noise and rhetoric, Rob Priestly will not do that. He doesn't operate like that. Graham Wright has been given the license to get creative and regenerate the list, but Voss will be backed to see out his contract. This is a positive for us, because anyone wanting a gig now/not having to wait for tassie gets to go through the process

The List Manager Tim Lamb
Laughable if you think Taylor recruits players from other clubs
-
The List Manager Tim Lamb
He drafts them mate. Lamb does the recruiting of players

Stats File - 2025 edition
Appreciate that - ratings do take into consideration all metrics including with and without the footy, but it's based on similar players and positions as well as the player's historical form and ratings. I don't disagree with who replaces them and we are likely 'stuck' for want of a better word given contract size and length. However, I want to see Windsor, Langford, Lindsay all go through with Pickett and play Trac more fwd/maybe even rotate Oliver through the fwd line more to give exposure to these players. General list demographic as has been stated is quite alarming given no real swathe of talent between 23-28 yo. Some tough decisions ala Hawthorn 2016 need to be made.

The List Manager Tim Lamb
How Tim Lamb is still holding the position of List Manager is completely baffling. Regardless of coaching structures and leadership, this man has recruited the following players: Schache Dunstan Billings Fullarton McAdam Hunter Grundy (which was never going to work) It has been a complete and utter disaster since 2021. And yet again, like any mediocrity, the football club have simply allowed people to perform this way and not be held to account.

Agree with all the trades - would add Sparrow to that mix.

These (^^ above post) are different to AFL Ratings, which considers a player's history and their position. This show you how far off the cliff we've fallen. 5 players inside the top 100 in the comp. Based on this, you'd think that anyone from Rivers down is trade worthy (outside of young players like Bowey, Windsor, Langford and Lindsay).

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
The tricky part about Petracca and Oliver trades is that they are both on enormous money and long term deals. So to get anything decent in return, clubs won't want to give up much (ala Geelong/Oliver last year). It's either a salary dump and get nothing/next to nothing back, or get a decent pick but player's contract is ripped up. Players also have to be happy to start a new contract for less elsewhere (which they won't). So we are very possibly stuck with them. Salem is a trade. If you ever needed proof, the 9 min 50 sec mark when he pretends to spoil the ball with his left hand. It is funny but telling. No ticker and his time here is up. A talented junior and helpful during our flag tilt but he is not up to it.

Trade Targets
Absolutely. And Derksen is that

Trade Targets
Until Tim Lamb is gone, the club is not going to improve. Tim Lamb has no credits in the bank for any recruiting since 2021. It has been appalling.

Brad Greens letter to members
So here we are again. Another letter from our President that says absolutely sweet FA. In fact, it's about as embarassing as the final qtr on Sunday. We are putting ourselves years and years into the abyss of irrelevance yet again. All the work done prior to 2021 is unravelling at a rate of knots. Interim or not, decisions have to be made and this rhetoric about Goodwin not being the problem is complete and utter nonsense. Fish rots at the head, and the club is devoid of any leadership. Again, as I said earlier in the year: we do not hold people to account for their performance, coaching, recruitment or players. It is a complete farce and a very sad state of affairs.

Time to go Goody?
I think you and I have shared these views. It's refreshing to hear someone else voice them. There is no accountability. None. Zilch. Zero. I cannot think of another successful or 'ruthless' club that would have accepted 2 straight sets exits after that flag with the list, to then hit the lows of 2024...and yet, in 2025 with 4 games left - he is STILL here.

Farewell Judd McVee
Yes - if you look at the post I made last year which started this thread, I mentioned Woewodin - seems even more likely from the source I have he will be back in WA. His management expressed disappointment at how often he was played as sub last year which stunted his development. Outside of NM this year, don't think he's played any other games.
