  2. Ned McHenry. Get this kid in. Elite endurance, skills, can play both inside and outside. Lightly built...two years with Geelong Falcons and Vic Country.
  3. still available ^ and sadly not a premiership captain...yet
  4. Selling Jonesys Guernsey from Rd 18 2015 win v Collingwood. Pm me for details
  5. was this ever confirmed by the club??? Can't find it anywhere
  6. The fact Roos isn't involved in our Women's team suggests he will not be working for the club in any capacity... which means that until he rules out working for Collingwood/actually lives in Hawaii, the speculation will stay. Collingwood would know they need to pay more than what Roos was getting from AFL/Melb for his role as senior coach - wouldn't put it past them to do that given our much $$$ they have. Talking hypotheticals, but would you knock back 2.5 mill a year?
  7. Call my cynical - anyone else worried by Pickering's comments today? News reporting tonight Lewis is considering decision this weekend.
  8. And not one of them came top 2 in a B&F.... Lewis is better than the three of those hacks combined
  9. Absolutely agree - and i'd be willing to do that. Even a player like JKH and I would be happy to part with a second round pick - people are obsessed with draft picks. You have no idea what you're getting. Lewis is 30 and a 4 time premiership midfielder. they don't grow on trees.
  10. ^^ Dogs midfiled is not "quick" If youve seen Macrae, Libba, Wallis, Boyd, Bont, they are not quick or renowned for their 'running speed' - they move the ball quick, something Lewis is used to from Hawks. Biggs Johannisen types are what helps the dogs speed - our equivalent is Hunt, and we're probably looking to generate that with some HB's.
  11. Would be a HUUUUGE result. At his age, with his experience and talent, we are looking at finals next year - and the exact level of organic improvement from our youngsters. C'mon, Jordan.
  12. Are we sure Lewis met with Goodwin? Haven't heard this one...Thought it was Pickering and Viney that met
  13. Didn't say it WOULD happen - we made an enquiry, and fell short during the season. Hawthorn offered more and are a very successful club (people forgetting they were a kick away from a Prelim). Mark my words, we are certainly looking to bring in a big fish over the next year or two. Re Tippett: i don't think it will happen because of $$$ and giving Sydney something reasonable (as stated when i posted 10 mins ago). I'm simply passing on what i've heard. Just because we're interested or we've asked a club doesn't mean we are getting said player. Some people on here need to calm down, and understand that clubs put together packages/proposals regularly...and that there are 18 clubs in the competition the last I checked
  14. Not to say your source is incorrect BBB, but I just cannot see how Rockliff would happen. A bit like what i'm about to share: a usually reliable source (informed me of Goodwin before we got him) has told me that we are making a massive play for Tippett. He is exactly the player we need, but again i'm not sure how it would get done given few picks/valuable players to trade that aren't in best 22...not to mention having to take over his contract $$$. Just thought i'd pass that on.
  15. Just flat out won't happen. We have nothing to give, which is a shame: he would be a fantastic pick-up despite people on here seeming to not want any more "inside/grunt" mids. Rockliff is a goal-kicking mid (something we have lacked) and his addition would mean he can play more freely than perhaps what he did at the Lions (which was as their number 1 mid + Captain). With Viney, Tyson, Oliver rising, and Jones still finding himself on the bottom of packs...someone like Rockliff can play a bit more forward (what VandenBerg did this year) and be VERY damaging.
  16. Anyone got the link for the rumour file audio? Jordan Lewis would be sensational for our young on-ball brigade for 1-2 years. Seen as an inside mid but has a beautiful kick, can kick goals, seems to have space in traffic (like Pendles) yet isn't fast.
  17. FWIW....Hogan has tweeted for the first time since before the season... surprise, surprise, it's not about footy
  18. Darling and Gaff/Shuey for Hogan would be a great trade...And one that i'd take in a heartbeat. For whatever reason, Gaff gets hounded on this site (and elsewhere) for being "soft". Not everyone can be on the bottom of a pack. He has elite skills and is a serious aerobic monster. Yes he's outside, but we don't have much on the outside! Shuey would be ideal, too.. I think that ultimately the club want an answer - despite the unfortunate circumstances that are well documented re Jesse - and that they won't accept what his manager said yesterday, in that he is entertaining the idea of heading home post 2017. It's either re-sign, or we're trading to maximise return value. Both scenarios are wins for the club.
  19. I live in Geelong and work with a number of the Cats players (they help out our school footy program). One of the things they say is how highly rated Vardy is internally - yes the games played in 7 years is alarming, but that's not to say it's all injury - he has played a lot of VFL coming back from inj and due to the Cats having Clark, Hawkins, Stanley, Blicavs, and now Smith. He is leaving simply open to leaving for opportunity because he knows that even with his body the Cats preferred combo is Smith and Stanley pinch hitting with Blics 3rd man up/mid. They are happy with Kersten's development into second fiddle for Hawkins. Given the low cost it would be to get him over, i am absolutely all for it. Jake Spencer has only played 36 games.....#justsayin
  20. Well...i have nothing against going to the draft, but trading pick 26 for Hibberd would see us with no 1st or 2nd round picks.....!!!
